We are seeking a Director of Sales Operations who can autonomously operate and execute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This position is a force multiplier. It is an analytical, strategic and highly hands-on operating role reporting directly to our CRO. This position requires strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation and strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills along with being capable of influencing action without having direct reporting authority.
In the role, working closely with the CRO, your primary responsibilities include developing sales force strategies, optimizing sales processes, implementing and managing sales tools and CRM systems, conducting data analysis, and fostering alignment between sales and marketing teams. By providing data-driven insights, streamlining processes, and promoting collaboration, you will enable our sales teams to execute efficiently and maximize their selling potential. Your expertise in managing sales tools and CRM systems, along with your ability to analyze and report on sales trends, will be key in driving sales performance and overall business growth.
What you’ll do:
Sales Force Strategy
- Work closely with sales leadership to continually co-create sales goals and strategy.
- Provide data-driven insights to continually improve and establish more effective processes and strategies to drive the sales organization’s capabilities.
Sales Process Optimization
- Focus on creating and optimizing essential, repeatable front-line routines and behaviors designed to allow for effortless execution by our frontline sales teams and managers.
- Continuously examine and optimize sales processes by identifying areas where it's working well, and where there are gaps that need attention.
- Identify aspects of the sales process that would benefit from automation to streamline the sales process.
- Enhance sales productivity by enabling the sales organization to work smarter by simplifying (and documenting) processes, evaluating new tools, and providing clear, regular training and coaching.
Sales Tool Implementation & CRM Management
- Understand, evaluate, implement and train on multiple sales tools to ensure the sales organization is getting the most out of them.
- Create, document, and optimize sales processes and operational workflows within our existing sales enablement tech stack, including Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach.io, Service Titan, RealGreen, DialPad, and TalkDesk and continuously work to optimize the technology that enables the sales team to perform at their highest potential.
Data Management & Analysis
- Provide daily/weekly/monthly standardized sales reporting for all businesses for strategic analysis and sales process improvement.
- Provide insights to improve sales team performance and sales management effectiveness by analyzing sales trends or providing insights into customer behavior.
- Continuously help determine tactics and processes to allow inside and outside sales professionals to maximize the highest and best use of their time - selling.
- Leverage multiple CRM’s and data aggregation tools and create appropriate reporting mechanisms to ensure the sales organization is focused on the right data at the right time. Continuously optimize sales dashboards and reporting to provide key metrics that inform priority skill development needs of our sales teams for our sales management teams.
Sales & Marketing Alignment
- Promote alignment of sales and marketing teams through close collaboration and regular communication between departments.
- Understand, document and regularly update sales customer journeys through multiple paths and business divisions and work collaboratively with marketing to ensure the journeys are aligned in messaging and content delivery.
What you’ll bring:
- 3-4+ years of sales and sales operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence
- Capability to manage multiple projects independently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Growth-oriented mindset, focused on problem-solving and data-driven strategies
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to execute data-supported recommendations
- Hands-on “builder”, with a drive for execution
- Adaptability in ambiguous environments, orchestrating strategic and complex activities
- Experience with multiple CRMs and sales enablement software solutions
- High ethical standards, integrity, and trustworthiness
- Solid problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
- Proficient in project management and detail-oriented tasks
- Ability to build relationships and networks quickly across various stakeholders
