Medline has an immediate need for a Vice President of Sales Operations located in Williamston, MI or Mundelein, IL. Overseeing all key aspects of the RFP, RFI and contracting process, this role will have a unique blend of building strong relationships with GPOs and sales analysis. This role will lead a high performing team of professionals and will be instrumental in the Division’s success and profitability.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and complete strategic-large Bid and RFP responses. Address product, quality and service related questions that arise during the 6 month cycle time of the contracting process.
- Increase sales and GM dollars in existing agreements through the use and development of customer specific Market Penetration Growth strategies. These strategies require:
- Relationship management with the key Group and Sub Group GPO members
- Performance of Quarterly Business Reviews
- Creation of detailed sales volume reports
- Presentation of Compliance reports directly to end-users and/or to Provider Ownership.
- Increase individual contract profitability through the addition and/or subtraction of products.
- Manage all administrative duties associated with the GPO contracting process to include addendums, contract language reviews, proper use of format and submission price files and GHX ELOC approval for tiered agreements. Resolve administrative, service or Sales issues initiated directly by a GPO member. Provide key Group members and hospital members with customized compliance reports.
- Manage the relationships with the GPO's various contracting teams, account management teams, call center personnel/customer service teams and clinical board directors.
- Support Medline Sales on all issues, topics and questions pertaining to the GPO.
- Develop and mentor team of professionals through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.
- Oversight of Master Data Management Team for this strategic business division with emphasis on building structures and strategies for future growth and stability.

Education
Relevant Work Experience
- At least 10 years of experience managing a diverse team, hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work. This is a leadership role where there are multiple direct reports who manage their own respective teams.

- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
- Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).
- Advanced analytical skill. Intermediate negotiation skills.
- Ability to prepare and present financial cost analysis.
- Understanding of healthcare convenience kitting
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant Work Experience
- Prior experience with Group Purchasing Organizations.
- SAP experience.
- Basic knowledge of Access database programs.
- Understanding of manufacturing costs to include working knowledge of bills of materials.
