About The Opportunity
As the VP of Q2C & Deal Desk you are a versatile, self-driven, proactive, and hands-on leader who is a key partner to CRO, COO, and Sales LT. You will oversee the Quote-to-contract (Q2C) process and run the sales deal desk with a primary focus on optimizing the efficiency of your organization ensuring alignment across the teams.
Your responsibilities include supporting the sales leadership with an automated and efficient quote-to-contract process and running a sales desk that supports the sales organization in troubleshooting Q2C problems. This team will becomes consolidated activities will then flow into the Q2C process optimization program.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to lead a team that is challenged with a wide range of projects and has significant exposure to senior leaders across the business. You will see the impact of your work in this role.
The candidate will have demonstrated experience in running operations in a technology company with a mix of development and leadership expertise. This VP will be instrumental in helping to drive sustainable growth and efficiency gains across the Quote-2-cash process and deal desk function. This role will report to the COO-Customer & Revenue Operations.
Expectations for the role include:
- Development and execution of a plan to help drive a business shift from current-state to future-state processes and KPI’s as we mature our Q2C process and support sales in accelerating paper processing times.
- Ability to deliver high-level executive summaries, offering insights and recommendations relevant to your audience based on complex detailed-level analyses that you’ve built or consolidated
- Problem-solving, project management, and collaboration skills to take on new challenges, interpret operational needs, and develop & execute integrated, tactical solutions in collaboration with relevant business functions for overall success
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy skills, with ability to actively identify areas of opportunity for the business to drive scale, improve margins, and/or streamline existing processes
- Leadership skills to build, grow, and inspire a high performing global team to be true consultative business partners to the leaders that they support
- Ability to think strategically from the perspective of the senior leadership team to synthesize data across multiple datasets and pull together an overall story
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership in planning, due diligence in implementing sound strategies to achieve business objectives and drive efficient operations by establishing Goals and KPI’s in close collaboration with Customer & Revenue Operations leaders
- Work collaboratively with HR to support workforce management and drive corporate programs such as onboarding, career frameworks, merit cycle, and rewards and recognition
- Work with Finance and Corporate Strategy to drive the annual SRP (Short Range Plan) and budget process for Q2C & Deal Desk teams including ongoing management of budget and finances.
- Drive business insights and optimization opportunities via key metrics definition & measures to drive efficiency and growth.
- Provide meaningful data to the CRO leaders through reports and dashboards including monthly measurement of the KPI’s.
- Exhibits collaborative leadership and excellent open communications skills across key functional organizations from individual contributors through senior executives.
- Identifies risks and problems in timely manner and drives resolution with speed and agility
- Oversee strategic business initiatives from concept to launch in support of Sales excellence and execution through a industrialized Q2C and deal desk function.
- Evaluate performance & provide recommendations by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
- Assist with Executive and Leadership recruiting efforts as part of growth of the company

- Develop functional objectives and strategy of execution that align with the vision of success for this team with support from key business partners
- Be accountable for the output of the team for high-quality, high-impact work, and for ensuring the team’s processes can scale with the business
- Support a culture of continuous learning of the business, and continuous modernization of how the team does their work
- Forecast activity using team input, historical analysis, forward-looking projections, and other key metrics to make recommendations to senior leaders, considering opportunities and risk factors
- Support and manage revenue and expense operational inputs into the Finance team
- Proactively design, monitor, and interpret key performance metrics and appropriate data visualizations, and share insights with senior leaders
- Build and manage a weekly/monthly forecast cadence, adding value to each interaction and building new processes to support these cycles
- Actively participate in strategic initiatives across the company and stay connected to the business and pace of change
