Job Description
- Lead and manage for all sales operations activities including day to day deal support, writing, and administering sales policies, territory planning, quota setting and allocation, variable compensation planning, and improving sales productivity.
- Partner with commercial leadership to develop strategies to enable fast growing sales teams to scale effectively, including organizational structure, evolving sales processes, and sales training.
- Partner with commercial & finance to develop and maintain accurate forecasts, headcount, and resource plans.
- Build and manage territory plans for existing and new sales personnel, including quota and key account targets.
- Develop operational metrics to identify business process issues and provide recommendations and solutions to business challenges, all with the result of increasing overall sales productivity.
- Develop framework and language for all sales compensation plans & commission oversight.
- Evaluate sales productivity tools & make investments in enabling technologies to support the commercial teams.
- Lead all aspects of operations including demand forecasting, reporting, planning, and budgeting.
- Partner closely with finance on these key areas. Own all sales tools, including SFDC. Support, maintain, develop, and continuously improve adoption of sales tech stack.
- Oversee sales team productivity and track critical KPIs (close rate, pipeline growth, upsell, cross-sell, churn rate, etc.).
- Conduct historical reviews of account performance, account segmentation, prioritization, and oversee win/loss analysis and other predictive analytics.
- Support and optimize the GTM strategy, including core sales processes and productivity drivers, infrastructure and automation, regional performance, and Enterprise Data-Driven Operating model.
- Ensure that all field sales teams fully adopt the defined GTM. Supports RFx Team initiatives designed to drive continuous improvements in team process, resources, internal communications, and quality of RFx Responses.
Requirements
Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Information Management or related field, plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related role in sales operations and/or strategic planning. Must have experience with:
- Developing and improving sales operations including territory planning, commission structure, sales process and workflow and ROE;
- Delivering data insights, report and dash boards and utilize bench marketing information to identify market trends and test alternative strategy approaches that yield performance;
- Project management tools including Asana, Trello and Zoho Projects;
- Sales operations technical stack including RFP solutions, CPQ software, deal desk automation, sales territory mapping, sale engagement platform, sales productivity tools, revenue intelligence product and business forecasting tool;
- Implementing data strategies and developing data models to analyze and translate business needs into long-term solution data models.

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
