Senior Data Analyst (Sales Operations)
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join ourteam as a Senior Data Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, generating meaningful insights, and translating them into actionable recommendations to improve our platform's efficiency, profitability, and user experience.
As a key member of our Data Analytics team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, design analytical experiments, and develop data-driven solutions. Our ideal candidate for this role will have a logistics and/or trucking and transportation sector background, i.e. working to structure complex data properly and handling dynamic forecasting and performance reporting.
Note that this role can be based in either Charlotte, Atlanta, Norfolk or Chicago. There may be some travel required to our Long Beach head-office in CA.
Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Insights:

Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data to identify patterns, trends, and insights.

Perform statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling to drive business strategies.

Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure business impact.

Communicate findings to stakeholders through clear and compelling visualizations, presentations, and reports.

Business Strategy and Optimization:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and challenges.

Work closely with product managers, engineers, and operations teams to define and measure success metrics for new features and initiatives.

Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to evaluate the impact of changes and optimize platform performance.

Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement and inform strategic decision-making.

Data Quality and Integrity:

Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity by performing regular data validation and quality checks.

Collaborate with the data engineering team to optimize data collection, storage, and processing workflows.

Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for data enrichment.

Industry and Market Research:

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analytics and the trucking/logistics domain.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and benchmark against industry standards.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Advanced degree would be a plus.

3-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in a technology-driven environment within the logistics/trucking industry.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.

Proficiency working with Salesforce and Tableau, plus Excel databases.

Proficiency in SQL and experience with data manipulation and analysis using tools such as Python, R, or similar.

Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

Knowledge of statistical modeling, data mining, and machine learning techniques.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience working with large-scale datasets is a plus.

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

The expected salary range for this role is $110,000 to $115,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
