Overview
Abbyson is looking for a dynamic individual to join as the Senior Vice President of National Sales (SVP, NS) to lead our growing Business Development Team! The DRS will develop, maximize and lead Abbyson’s retail brand strategies to the next level. The SVP, NS shall lead the development of retail business, managing Retail Account Managers, Supply Chain integration, drive sales strategies to exceed monthly sales goals and enhance all consumer touch points.
The VP, RS shall create and execute detailed plans relating to annual business strategy, project-specific time/action planning, customer acquisition and retention planning, and cross-functional project planning consistent with attending and contributing to broad Abbyson objectives. As Vice President of Retail Sales, you shall create and produce strong results, persistence and tenacity to drive efforts beyond concept to implementation through store teams.
Reporting Structure
The Vice President of Retail Sales will work cross-functionally with Supply Chain Operations, and directly with Sales Operations & Account Management, under the guidance of Executive Leadership. As Vice President of Retail Sales, you will provide leadership and vision to both drive the business forward and provide an exceptional brand experience to our consumers.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Retail Planning and Execution
- Lead, Coach, Motivate and Develop Retail Sales Team
- Integrate Abbyson Brand in the Marketplace
- Collaborate with Branding and Creative Teams to execute sales initiatives and to identify and drive new retail opportunities.

- Ensures data integrity and accuracy; develop and maintain key inventory reports
- Product Life Cycle management; Leverage pricing and promotional strategies to align sales plan to Department Goals
- Develop and implement budget plan for double-digit targeted account sales growth year over year
- Serve as primary analytics support for Retail Operations
- Provide reports and insights to SVP of Sales to make actionable recommendations based on sales, forecasts, conversion, promotions, seasonality, and marketing performance.
- 75% Domestic Travel Required.
Essential Functions
- Strategically analyzes and applies consumer data to initiate retail growth opportunities.
- Implements marketing tactics to support retail sales and margin goals.
- Track, forecast and translate reports to measure ROI.
- Ensures that incentives are aligned for the retail sales force, achieving results consistent with retail sales and margin objectives.
- Establish KPIs and metrics to track and report on performance of processes and transform data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Develop monthly forecast and budget, including traffic, sales, conversion and AOV. Provides weekly reporting and insight into retail performance.
- Partner with leadership in Marketing and Sales Operations to drive performance and customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
- Manage retail revenue and P&L objectives by improving conversion rates and increasing the number of online purchases.
- Work with category managers to achieve category growth objectives.
- Directs and tracks ad buys for Brick & Mortar partners.
- Manage and drive improvements to retail P&L, including revenue, margin and expense improvement.
- Manage and communicate cross marketing and promotional plans and work closely with Executive Leadership to execute strategies in all Brick & Mortar stores.

Required Qualifications
- BA in business, marketing or related field required; MBA/MFA highly preferred.
- Successful experience in both B2B, B2C, Retail, Wholesale, DTC markets.
- Minimum 20+ years direct and successful Retail Sales/Operations experience.
- Minimum 15+ years of people management experience.
- Proven experience interacting with and selling to key retail stakeholders/buyers.
- Success managing a team in a fast paced and ever-changing environment. Must be fluid and capable of pivoting strategy to align with changing business needs.
- Successful track record in a high sales growth mode with a consumer goods brand.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities, set and achieve challenging goals; work under the pressure of deadline and be adept at managing multiple tasks.
