- This role is a member of the Global Sales Team within the Sales Operations & Development Division
- The Manager Sales Tools and Automation will be a driving force in American’s transition to focus our sales programs on driving incremental value for our customers, loyalty to AA, and selling via contemporary, consumer-friendly technologies
- This team member will deploy and embed AA’s sales tools and technologies to improve the customer (traveler) experience, choice and AA’s profitability, at scale, create a common culture and support consistent execution – SalesLink, SalesHub, SalesBrain, D365 etc.
- Responsible to drive further adoption of self service for our Retailers via our SalesLink tool
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor and support a team of analysts in the Sales Tools and Automation team
- Thought leader in the development, application and effectiveness of our sales tools, including SalesHub, SalesLink, SalesBrain, Customer Portals, 365
- Reports and measures impact through KPIs / metrics as well as provides recommendations for further adoption, reinforcement, and sustainment initiatives to track achievement of key performance outcomes in conjunction with the Sales Operations team
- Sets strategy and thought leadership for adoption, productivity, user experience, design and reporting for Global Sales CRM (Microsoft Dynamics)
- Oversees a team responsible to establish the performance and productivity metrics for Retailer/3rd party Support contact center and increasing self-servicing
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelors degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
- 3 years successful sales and/or project management experience
- Excellent understanding of contact center technology, software applications, and phone and computer systems
- Advanced customer focus and customer service skills
- Exceptional training and coaching skills to motivate employees
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Modern retailing (NDC) knowledge (both current and future)
Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience
- Experience in supporting B2B sales teams in a variety of capacities (i.e. coaching leaders and sales professionals, developing and delivering training on sales tools, sales skills, sales methodology, sales process)
- Experience using CRM tools – i.e., Microsoft Dynamics
- Proven background in facilitating leadership and sales training as well as coaching to drive key reinforcement and adoption of sales development programs
- Effective communicator, facilitator, and collaborator
- Strong project management skills who is proactive, collaborative, and meets deadlines
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Proven C-Suite communication capabilities
- Strong account strategy development and execution skills required
- Robust distribution knowledge
- Sales training methodologies
- CRM experience
