Meaningful Work From Day One
The Operations Specialist is a key member of the Sales Team. The position supports the efficient coordination of internal processes & systems essential for effective customer management, sales efficiency and productivity. The role reports to the Operations Manager and partners with sales, marketing and finance to drive operational success.
The role will require demonstrating capability in customer and product data analysis and processing, administration for the Sales division. Success for this position is dependent on a strong drive to deliver results, excellence in communication, influencing skills and bold, enterprise-wide thinking to contribute to the development of business plans and strategy.
This position may require 1-2 days travel a month.
What You Will Do in This Role
Value Creation
Processing sales data and reports relating to forecasts, plans, and budget processes used within the sales organisation
Proactively monitors/controls and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organisation’s planning efforts
Prepare analysis and recommendations for colleagues with Sales, Marketing and other internal stakeholders
Assisting with planning activities with other functions and stakeholders within B-F UK (Sales & business planning process)
Be the KAMS (forecasting tool) “power-user” for the business and provide support to the organisation through monthly processes & training
Working closely with sales & customer marketing to plan and manage merchandising campaigns with third parties in our Grocery & Wholesale channels
Manage a combination of existing sales/promotional dashboards and facilitate requests for customer information
Coordinate promotional data across commercial functions and cooperate with other functional departments to resolve queries and align with our promotional guidelines
Assign and maintain product allocation across customers where there are new or planned listings
Work closely with Finance and Pricing to monitor spend/discounting across our brands and customers
Drive for Results
Facilitates an organisation of continuous process improvement by proactively identifying opportunities
Works closely with sales management and IT to optimise the effectiveness of the forecasting tool
(KAMs)
Ensure accurate vendor set up and proactive monthly reviews
Works with the procurement and sales team to deliver best in class shipper programmes
Operational Processes
Upload customers rebate and promotion invoices to the Salesforce platform and ad-hoc administrative tasks within our systems
Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives
Actively ensures sales market compliance with laws, policies and best practices
Spend time with sales teams and third party merchandisers in the field to understand their role including opportunities & challenges faced
Overall involvement in various commercial optimisation projects as needed
What you bring to the table
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics or a related area
Highly capable on Microsoft Excel / Google sheets for the purpose of analysis
Great analytical skills, commercially savvy and solution focused to solving problems
Excellent presentation skills and able to translate sales and analytics in a clear, concise and visually appealing way
Self-starter with proven ability to identify issues and projects, plan and prioritize with demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects to completion by specific deadlines
Superior communication skills (influencing, listening, presenting, written)
Ability to build strong relationships at all levels with strong stakeholder awareness
Preferred experience
Prior experience in wine and spirits or luxury FMCG industries
Experience with forecasting
Prior experience working with tools such as Salesforce and KAMS
