The Position: Vice President Sales, Mid-Market
(Location: US Remote - East Coast preferred)
This Role Will Be Responsible For Driving Business Growth By
We are actively pursuing a Vice President of Mid-Market Sales who is dynamic, experienced, and focused on team success.
- Establishing a strong sales strategy for the region in partnership with the executive leadership team
- Energizing and driving the sales organization to achieve stretch goals
- Managing the processes and generating the measures required to keep the team nimble and on course
- Ultimately, hit bookings, revenue, and growth targets year over year
The Ideal candidate for this role is able to consistently create and maintain relationships to ensure key priorities are clearly identified and attained. In addition, this candidate will help to drive and promote a culture of achievement, accountability and high-performance by "leading from the front." The Vice President of Sales will join an experienced leadership team who will assume responsibility for all new logo and existing customer up-sell and cross-sell in Mid-Market.
The role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer at Elemica.
What You’ll Do - Focus on driving sales growth in the mid-market segment by managing the development of account and territory plans and team achievement of quota plan
- Build and retain a high-performance Sales team in US & Europe by hiring to Elemica's sales role success profiles and identifying and addressing any skill development needs within the sales team
- Build and form relationships and regularly engage with key customers and become their advocate in all aspects of the business in the region
- Frequent participation in educational forums and Industry groups to understand evolving market conditions and their Impact on customer buying desire. Establish a reputation as a subject matter expert within the market
- Ability to act as executive facilitator to leverage influence of partners, Industry groups, customers, and management for the benefit of your sales activities in the territory
- Reinforce and manage best-practices established by corporate sales operations
- Ensure team maintains updated sales related information and account hygiene within Salesforce.com according to Elemica cadence and requirements
- Preparation and ownership of deal updates on global forecast calls
- Deal desk process adherence and attention to detail
- Pipeline development process, tools and sales playbook adherence to Include frequent Inspection of activities and pipeline coverage needs
- Forecasting, Quota-setting & Territory coverage analysis
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
- 10+ years of enterprise software sales experience both with existing customer growth and new logo prospect sales pursuits
- 5+ years of experience in sales management/leadership
- Supply-chain and / or digitization & automation experience a plus
- Experienced in pricing and contract negotiation with a SaaS business model (MSAs, SOWs and Key Terms)
- Intellectual curiosity, bias toward discovery and solving big problems for customers
- Track record of leading a positive, successful sales culture with a focus on team success
- Proven experience consistently meeting/exceeding sales quotas
- Strategic thinker who can see the big picture and the tactical path to get there
- Strong problem-solving skills who can work around, or go through, barriers to success
- Demonstrated track record of attracting and retaining top sales talent in region
- Excellent understanding and execution of formal sales training techniques
- Strong sales presentation skills, with ability to influence
- Experience with Salesforce.com and proficient In MS Office suite
