Operations Manager – smart After Sales

In 2019 smart Automobile Co. was formed as a 50-50 joint venture between Geely Automotive Group Co. Ltd. and Mercedes-Benz AG. Within the UK Mercedes-Benz holds the After-Sales contract and this role is the key interface between the Authorised Repairer network and Mercedes-Benz UK whilst also managing the business relationship with key stakeholders within ONETEAM in Region Europe and smart UK Automotive Ltd. smart UK Automotive Ltd. hold the contract and responsibility for new car sales. The first model from the joint venture is the smart #1, which launches in the UK in August 2023.
How You’ll Play Your Part
We’re looking for someone passionate and driven, who understands the importance of leading and driving the profile of Mercedes-Benz and smart to support our business strategy. You’ll thrive working in a fast-paced environment providing After Sales management and support to the Authorised Repairers in alignment with the overall smart Customer Services strategy. You’ll also be fully responsible for the development from an operational viewpoint of the After Sales Business through managing the Authorised Repairer relationship and driving their performance against core After Sales KPIs.
To be successful in this role it’s important to be comfortable working in an environment with a variety of stakeholders as you’ll provide assisting in integrating smart After Sales in the UK market. You’ll be able to apply an analytical mind-set and strong problem solving skills to support to support the integration of smart After Sales across the existing Mercedes-Benz network (selected sites) by coordinating Authorised Repairer activities. This will include After Sales processes, Authorised Repairer standards, training plans, support the availability of training locations and follow up on mandatory training.

Developing a strategic partnership with the business, you’ll have the opportunity to interact, influence and negotiate with all levels of management. You’ll also provide and evolve business reporting using existing reporting templates to the central ONE-Team, for the smart After-Sales business on MOC and retail level.
