Responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of sales and customer insights. Performs analysis and generates reporting and actionable insights to measure sales and territory performance. Develops and tracks key performance indicators to enhance the understanding of the business and to improve decision-making. Aids in upholding the integrity of internal and external data to be able to execute on initiatives such as market share, share of wallet, territory potential, and the sales planning process. Provides analysis for the sales team, including forecasting, measuring, tracking, and reporting business outlook, territory optimization, pipeline management, and customer and prospect insights. Provides insight and business recommendations based on analysis involving internal and external data, markets, customers, strategy, and performance.
Essential Functions

Collects, analyzes, evaluates and reports data to increase sales productivity

Ensures customer data aligns with the segmentation strategy

Identifies, analyzes, interprets and presents trends or patterns in data and shares recommendations to management team and key stakeholders

Works closely with sales management to understand business need to identify, develop, and implement enhancements to reporting and actionable insights

Interprets and/or translates data to illustrate findings and link to business results

Provides necessary inputs for annual territory and quota review process

Runs territory optimization and deployment analytics

Collects sales records and trends and evaluate performance measured against sales quotas

Implements data collection processes and other strategies to optimize efficiency and data quality

Interprets and/or translates data to illustrate findings and link to business results

Proactively runs reports to drive decisions and strategy at the Border States management level

Supports existing and develops new sales tools (i.e sales performance management tool, territory planning tools, CRMA/Salesforce reporting and analytics, Power BI Reporting, etc)

Identifies specific targets within market sub-segments and prioritizes targeted opportunities for sellers

Creates and maintains databases to facilitate the sales reporting process

Continuously audits all systems to ensure data consistency

Bachelor’s degree in quantitative or related field (e.g., Business Analytics, Marketing Research, Applied Economics, or other related field)

Two plus years of reporting and analytics experience

Experience working with large quantities of raw data

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and experience with data analysis tools and techniques preferred

Must be able to perform complex functions within excel in order to manipulate and calculate data for analysis

Ability to use a programming language such as Salesforce CRMA, SQL, or R Studio for data analysis

Database/reporting certifications also highly desired
