Job Description:
The Helmsman Group is looking for a Sales Operations Specialist at The Helmsman Group, you will be responsible for optimizing our sales processes and supporting the sales team in achieving revenue targets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, utilizing technology platforms such as HubSpot, and leveraging your strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills to ensure smooth sales operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently and has a great attitude.
Responsibilities:
Sales Process Optimization:
- Analyze existing sales processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Utilize technology tools, such as HubSpot, to streamline workflows and automate manual tasks.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and document standardized processes, including lead generation, qualification, and conversion.
CRM Administration and Reporting:
- Manage and maintain the HubSpot CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date customer data entry and integrity.
- Generate reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement.
Communication and Documentation:
- Craft well-written Statements of Work (SOW) that clearly outline project scopes, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Collaborate with the sales team and other stakeholders to understand client requirements and translate them into comprehensive SOWs.
- Ensure timely delivery of SOWs and assist in contract negotiations when necessary.
Sales Enablement:
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop sales collateral, presentations, and other tools that support the sales process.
- Assist in the creation and delivery of sales training programs to enhance product knowledge and selling skills.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective lead generation and management processes.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Foster strong relationships and open lines of communication with various departments, including sales, marketing, and project management.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support accurate forecasting and revenue recognition.
- Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and provide the necessary support.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales operations, sales support, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology platforms, specifically HubSpot or similar CRM systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail in written documents.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and provide insights.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Prior experience in crafting Statements of Work (SOWs) is preferred.
- Familiarity with the food and beverage industry is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,395.00 - $55,707.00 per year
