Deal Desk Analyst
LOCATION: Remote, United States
Position Summary
As part of the Bentley Deal Desk and reporting to the Manager, Deal Desk, the Deal Desk Analyst is focused on performing data analysis on—often irregular—accounts and opportunities. Working with Regional Directors and Account Managers, the Analyst develops offers, applying standardized commercial models and providing deal guidance regarding variations from standard. Ensures offers meet Bentley requirements and drive ARR growth.
Responsibilities
- Specializes in performing the data analysis
- Conducts exploratory analyses to understand account usage and behavior patterns
- Analyzes data from large disparate data sets, queries, and reports present in operational and financial systems and assigning context to business data
- Provide and apply guidance (advice); define and present detailed commercial offers and options
- Address governance requirements of stakeholders outside of Account Advancement (e.g., Financial Operations, Contracts, Legal)
- Develop complex deal propositions
- Implement methods and systems to increase individual and team efficiencies
- Ensure Deal Desk products (e.g., advice, escalations/approvals, and program/campaign designs), are comprehensive
- Ensure offers are executable by Financial Operations, Finance, Legal, and other accountable stakeholders, in accordance with defined programs and managing associated levels of discretion
ACCOUNTABILITY
- Ensure commercial integrity (e.g., profitability, soundness of proposed variations from Commercial Programs’ standard) of each assigned deal
- Document deal parameters in Deal Desk systems (e.g., SharePoint, C4S)
- Drive measurable increases in ARR, from deal intake through stakeholder approval
- Convey financial impacts of recommendations; ensure full disclosure and reportability of specific deal outcomes
Qualifications
- Extremely effective communicator with exceptional presentation skills; capable of interacting with colleagues at every level and across every business line, enhancing process engagement from stakeholders
- Facility with Microsoft Excel and analytics tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI) and demonstrated ability to summarize and present complex and detailed commercial information in narrative and presentation forms
- Capable of driving matrixed resources to consensus in tightly constrained timeframes
- Functional command—or ability to quickly develop same—of Bentley's commercial programs, especially as applied to the operation and interaction of organizations within Bentley
- Proficient with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person, and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions
- This role does not require travel.
