Reporting to the Commercial Director, - LGC Assure, the Head of Revenue Operations is responsible for managing and leading the sales support functionality and commercial analytics of the LGC Assure business unit.
This is a new role, created from the requirement to take the current commercial teams operating within legacy brands, and to deliver transformational changes of the LGC Assure commercial systems, process and support functionality: One aligned function that runs efficiently and effectively across the business unit. The role will be a hybrid role with the need to work from the head offices at Victoria, a few days per week.
This is a senior leadership position within the commercial team and requires the management and development of strategic planning and execution with the development of a small team. The candidate must possess strong business acumen and be able to lead and influence individuals and teams across multiple countries, while driving results through teamwork and collaboration.
Head of Revenue Operations:
- Work with direct reports and LGC Assure Leadership to develop monthly, quarterly, and
Annual sales and profitability forecasts for all products.
- Develop and implement effective revenue strategies to maximise sales, profitability, and market share for the organisation. This involves analysing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and setting revenue targets.
- Collaborate with finance and other departments to develop accurate revenue forecasts and budgets. Monitor actual revenue performance against forecasts and take corrective actions as necessary.
- In conjunction with the commercial senior leadership team oversee the sales team and ensure they are effectively executing the revenue strategy. Monitor sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide guidance and support to the commercial leadership team and sales team to achieve targets.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the revenue operations team. Set clear goals and expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a high performance culture.
- Collaborate with the business development and account management teams to ensure effective customer relationship management practises are in place. This includes developing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
- Utilise data analytics tools and systems to analyse sales data, revenue trends, and customer behaviour. Generate regular reports and insights for senior management to support decision making processes.
- Develop and manage pricing strategies to optimise revenue generation. Conduct pricing analysis, monitor market trends, and make pricing recommendations based on competitive positioning and customer demand.
- Identify and implement relevant revenue management systems and tools to support sales and revenue operations. This may involve CRM systems, revenue management software, or data analytics platforms, including KPI’s and sales dashboards.
- Identify areas of inefficiency or bottlenecks in revenue related processes and implement improvements to enhance operational effectiveness. This may involve streamlining order management, inventory control, or sales processes.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills through the supervision, coaching and mentoring of others.
- Represent department and the organisation favourably and in accordance with established Company standards at all times.
