ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Strategy and Execution
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the coffee segment, specifically targeting the grocery and consumer packaged goods market.
- Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and distribution channels to drive business growth and increase market penetration.
- Establish sales targets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and sales forecasts for the team, monitoring progress and implementing corrective measures as needed.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to develop effective promotional campaigns and sales materials to support sales efforts.
- Understand and reflect the brand strategy and the impact-oriented business model.
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of national sales brokers and sales representatives, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Set clear objectives and provide ongoing coaching and training to the sales team, enhancing their skills and knowledge in product positioning, market trends, and selling techniques.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, recognizing achievements and addressing any performance gaps through effective feedback and performance improvement plans.
Key Account Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and strategic partners within the grocery and consumer packaged goods sector.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to negotiate pricing, terms, and promotional programs, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that drive revenue growth.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
Sales Analysis and Reporting
- Utilize sales analytics tools and market research data to analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer preferences.
- Prepare and present comprehensive sales reports and recommendations to senior management, highlighting key insights and proposing strategies to optimize sales effectiveness.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven experience as a National Sales Manager or in a similar senior sales leadership role within the coffee industry or related FMCG sector.
- Deep knowledge of the grocery and consumer packaged goods market, including an understanding of retail and distribution channels.
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets, expanding market share, and building successful customer relationships.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
