The Sales Operations Manager at BlackStrap Industries will play a pivotal role in driving sales success and fostering collaboration across different teams. As an energetic outdoor apparel brand elevating its Sales Execution strategy, the Sales Operations Manager will be responsible for connecting external sales reps, supporting wholesale accounts, and working closely with the Customer Service Team to ensure a seamless sales experience.
Additionally, they will contribute to the development and execution of eCommerce and OmniChannel Sales strategies, implementing performance metrics to track sales success, and supporting forecasting efforts. The Sales Operations Manager will be accountable for elevating customer communication to enhance the overall sales process.
- Sales Support: Provide essential resources and information to external sales reps, empowering them to drive sales growth effectively.
- Wholesale Account Collaboration: Collaborate with wholesale accounts to ensure product availability meets their specific requirements and enhance the partnership experience.
- Customer Sales Team Coordination: Work closely with the Customer Service Team to align sales efforts, maximizing opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
- eCommerce and OmniChannel Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of effective sales strategies aligned with the company's overall goals.
- Performance Metrics Implementation: Design and implement performance metrics to measure sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous growth.
- Forecasting and Pipeline Management: Collaborate with Finance and Sales Operations to develop accurate sales forecasts and pipeline projections. Track sales opportunities and ensure the CRM system is up-to-date, enabling efficient sales pipeline management.
- Customer Communication Enhancement: Improve customer communication by understanding their needs and providing excellent service throughout the sales process.
- Team Coordination and Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact between internal teams and external sales reps to ensure seamless information flow and coordination.
- Sales Strategy Support: Assist in crafting and executing effective sales strategies that align with the company's overall goals. Work with external sales reps to refine sales techniques and strategies to achieve revenue targets. Analyze market trends and competitors' activities to identify potential growth areas and provide actionable insights to the sales team.
- Performance Metrics and Reporting: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the inside sales team and provide regular performance reports to the Executive Team. Implement a data-driven approach to measure sales productivity, conversion rates, and other critical metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Customer Communication and Relationship Management: Enhance customer communication by identifying customer needs and providing excellent service throughout the sales process. Cultivate strong relationships with key accounts and wholesale partners to foster loyalty and encourage repeat business.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Proven track record of at least 5 years in a sales leadership role, preferably in the outdoor apparel industry or related field.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce and OmniChannel sales strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze sales performance data and derive meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Result-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets.
- In-depth understanding of sales processes, techniques, and strategies.
- Experience working with wholesale accounts and managing external sales teams.
