Camino Search is thrilled to be partnering with an exciting VC backed SaaS German business looking for a CRO.


Our client is a venture capital backed tech company who has developed an innovative SaaS solution bringing artificial intelligence and digital entertainment together to create a unique relationship between humans and chatbot avatars, optimizing online user experience.


The business is poised for an exciting journey of expansion throughout Europe and is seeking a visionary Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to lead the way. Backed by successful rounds of investment, we are committed to developing new business opportunities that ensure our long-term sustainability and growth. The Role: Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)


As our Chief Revenue Officer, you will oversee a team of internal and external sales professionals, key account managers, customer care executives, and manage pricing and revenue strategy. This is a newly created role, offering a unique opportunity to build a structure and assemble a team from the ground up. We're looking for individuals who are passionate about our product and eager to take ownership of their role.


Responsibilities


  • Revenue Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive revenue generation strategies aligned with our business goals, focusing on both short-term growth and long-term sustainability.


  • Market Expansion: Identify and target potential enterprise customers in line with our target market, leveraging your understanding of the European enterprise landscape and international trends.


  • Sales Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing sales unit, coaching and mentoring the team to exceed sales targets. Foster a culture of innovation, resilience, and adaptability.


  • Customer Segmentation: Analyze customer segments, tailoring value propositions to appeal to both smaller clients and high-value enterprise clients.


  • Investor Relations: Collaborate closely with investors, providing strategic insights into revenue-generating initiatives and leveraging their expertise to drive business growth.


  • Market Penetration: Develop go-to-market strategies to enter new markets and expand our reach, leveraging your experience in scaling early-stage startups.

  • Define a pricing strategy that guarantees sustainable returns and successful customer retention and loyalty.


  • Build go-to-market strategies for expanding into larger businesses and geographically throughout Europe.

  • A compelling storyteller who can translate their solutions into a compelling need for our customers and inspire the sales team to do the same. This skill will be crucial for our future growth and fundraising efforts.


The Ideal Candidate


Background


  • Experience leading structures in SaaS European B2B businesses.
  • Proven success in building and implementing revenue growth strategies from the ground up.
  • A consistent career track record, completing relevant cycles, and delivering return-driven projects.


Experience


  • 5+ years of experience in sales and revenue management leadership roles within high-growth SaaS businesses.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage commercial and financial performance indicators.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, and German is desirable.


Location

Based in Hamburg, Germany, with the possibility of working remotely and ideally hybrid in Hamburg.
