The Role

As the Director of Sales Operations at our organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our long-term sales strategy, streamlining processes, and leading our Sales Operations team. Reporting directly to the SVP of Revenue Operations & Partnerships, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive essential operating processes, including Quarterly Business Reviews, Monthly recaps, team performance evaluations, and weekly meetings.

Key Responsibilities

Long-Term Sales Strategy: Define and spearhead the implementation of our company's long-term sales strategy through close collaboration with cross-functional teams and sales leadership.

Leading the Sales Operations Team: Oversee and manage the Sales Operations team, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives and fostering a culture of excellence.

Annual and Long-Range Planning: Optimize sales workflows, facilitate deal delivery, and ensure sales plans align with operating expense budgets.

Managing Sales Performance Metrics: Implement early warning systems for business growth, monitor sales metrics against company models, and proactively manage deviations from the budget.

Territory and Quota Planning: Lead territory and quota planning, ensuring alignment with the overall annual plan and effective performance management.

Optimizing Sales Process and Reporting: Design, implement, and document efficient sales processes, methodologies, and reporting systems to ensure high adoption.

Sales Incentive Compensation: Take ownership of planning and designing sales compensation plans and programs that align with quotas, segments, and historical performance.

Alignment with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and finance teams to ensure that bottoms-up sales planning aligns seamlessly with top-down company budgets.

Supporting Sales Enablement: Partner with sales enablement and L&D teams to drive the adoption of sales systems and tools while ensuring alignment with sales methodologies.

Managing Key Operating Rituals: Provide support and leadership for key operating rituals, such as Quarterly Business Reviews, Monthly recaps, and weekly meetings, in collaboration with the SVP of Revenue Operations & Partnerships.

Qualifications And Experience Required

8+ years of experience in Sales Operations & Strategy.

Proven experience in building and leading centralized sales operations teams, especially in high-growth/PLG companies at Series C stage and beyond.

Excellent communication skills, including a strong executive presence.

A bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related quantitative fields is preferred.

Proficiency in SQL, Salesforce administration, and experience with Looker is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to build efficient systems, processes, and workflows.

Exceptional communication skills, enabling the translation of complex ideas and strategies into actionable recommendations.

Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with a high level of emotional intelligence.

Broad strategic business knowledge and a deep understanding of various SaaS product verticals and markets.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to generate insights and hypotheses.

An action-oriented, results-driven mindset with a bias towards experimentation and learning.
