POSITION: National Account Manager (Dallas and Southeast)

REPORTS TO: V.P. of Sales
POSITION SUMMARY: The Illes National Account Manager conducts themselves in a manner that is aligned with Illes Foods Core Values: Operate with Integrity, Stay Intentionally Curious, and Believe in the Power of the Partnership. The Sales Manager will be responsible for cultivating true partnerships with customers. In doing so this role is also responsible for meeting sales goals related to volume, sales, and profit requirements for current accounts and prospective accounts. Ability to learn and to manage the complete customer relationship, (well beyond buyer and R&D) project management, and growth process. The focus will be on selling and developing long-term partnerships with targeted foodservice chain and industrial customers throughout the USA.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Achieve sales goals: Volume and profit goals along with strong partnership management will be the benchmarks of success.
- Maintain and grow existing business with current and target accounts.
- The primary focus is to cultivate and to sell targeted customers, by identifying solutions for current and prospective customers.
- Responsible for relationship development and execution related to target partner customers. This role, while assisted by many functions at ILLES Foods, is the “tip of the spear” for communication and relationship building with our current partners and perspective partners.
- Work closely and cohesively with cross-functional Illes team as needed to further strengthen our customers to be better with us than without us.
- Prospect new customers and qualify to determine if they are a fit for ILLES Foods and ILLES Foods a good partner for them.
- Develop exceptional teamwork between Sales Operations, Project Management, R&D, Culinary, Customer Service, Operations, QA, Communications, and Administration.
- Account planning includes the development of objectives, strategies and action plans needed for target accounts.
- Enter new product management projects accurately capturing all key products and customer requirements. Accuracy in this area is critical to our success.
- Utilize Food Science, if applicable, to understand and apply ILLES Foods products professionally in the chain or industrial setting with customers.
- Ability to make high level professional presentations to all levels at the customer and internally at ILLES Foods.
- Budget management related to travel and entertainment expenses, customer conferences, customer marketing, and other job-related expenses.
- Prioritize accounts and daily activities effectively.
- Travel via auto and plane approximately 40%- 60%.
- Entertain customers as needed to achieve company goals and effectively control associated costs to achieve optimum results.
- Advocate for the customer and positive core beliefs to pursue what is in the best interest for both ILLES Foods and our business partners.
- Self-motivated individual. Office in your home, with significant time spent on the road, with customers or at our lab, kitchen, and plants. Ability to manage stress and re-prioritize tasks for the betterment of the company.
- Ensure that food safety, legality, ethical and quality standards are always maintained.
- Up-to-date and accurate reporting of activities to VP of Sales through “Maniacal” and other communication formats.
- Work very closely with Sales teammates to focus on both short and long term profitable ILLES growth.
- Maintain appropriate and professional written and verbal communication.
- Ensure that food safety, legality, integrity, and quality standards are always maintained.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.
- Regular attendance for scheduled meetings with both internal and external customers.

Experience
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
5+ years selling in the Foodservice Chain or Industrial accounts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work 40–50-hour work weeks.
- Ability to travel long distances. (Planes, trains, and automobiles)

- Ability to sit for long periods of time working on computer, and participating in live web meetings.
