Position Description:
The Senior Associate Athletic Director/Chief Revenue Officer leads a comprehensive revenue generation program that incorporates all aspects of ticket sales and operations, business intelligence, digital marketing, and fundraising. This role is responsible for shaping data-driven strategies across all revenue-generating functions to meet the athletic department's financial objectives. This includes formulating and executing a comprehensive ticket marketing strategy, engaging in customer prospecting, acquisition and retention, developing new revenue streams, and overseeing sales and business development activities. This leader will collaborate with fellow members of the leadership team to ensure the successful execution of the strategic plan and the continued growth of the organization. Additionally, they will also be instrumental in creating future strategic plans with the goal of boosting revenue streams and developing new revenue avenues across the athletic department. The ideal candidate possesses a strategic mindset, a strong track record of driving business innovation, and an analytical approach that capitalizes on data-driven insights.
Job Responsibilities:

Digital Marketing and Sales: Own the strategy for the digital marketing initiatives, including email marketing, analytics/reporting, paid advertising campaigns (display, search, social media, etc.), website advertising, and mobile app development and messaging. Using demographic segmentation and retargeting to build cohesive customer journeys that leverage all digital channels to optimize communication touchpoints, grow the customer base, generate new business, and enhance fan retention efforts.

Database Optimization and Insights: Set the vision and implementation for the athletic department's data warehouse, central intelligence system, and CRM strategy. This position with collaborate with development, sales, and marketing department leaders to define and document the overarching business objectives, plan and execute sales campaigns, and provide real-time reports and dashboards on campaign progress and salesperson performance metrics. Conduct full lifecycle activities to include requirements analysis and design, develop data insights and reporting capabilities, and continuously monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements to the overall data eco-system. This person will also support sales reps, continually training and guiding them on the strategy/best practices as they use the CRM to move prospects and constituents through the sales pipeline.

Ticket Sales & Retention Oversight: Oversee, lead, and direct all aspects of ticket sales, inclusive of prospecting and lead generation efforts, season ticket member initiatives, retention incentives, and database tracking and reporting. This person will be responsibility for setting the pricing, packages, timelines, communication, and customer service. This position will also provide oversight of all ticket sales and retention staff members, hold staff accountable to departmental goals and priorities, and will direct and oversee the department's operational budget.

Ticket Operations & Membership Services Oversight: Oversee ticket operations and membership service team that focuses on retention and revenue generation, while delivering fans with a best-in-class customer service experience. This position will focus on maximizing operational efficiencies that answer back to the department's efforts to increase attendance and ticket sales. Ensures collaboration and a consistent focus on personalized customer service and revenue development across the entire enterprise.

Development Fundraising Oversight: Advises on all fundraising strategies to advance the department's goals, increasing the donor base and level of philanthropic support. This role is responsible for designing and implementing prospect cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to meet monthly and annual goals.

Ensure performance, strategy, and alignment of the organization's revenue-generating departments.

Help maximize revenue and create business efficiencies by adding new, scalable partners in a strategic way.

Be a subject matter authority in consumer data, working with across departments to create and streamline the implementation of analytics, reports, and dashboards.

Develop and implement an integrated, data-driven marketing strategy that helps define audience segments, reach, attract and retain the target markets, and build brand loyalty.

Implement A/B testing and audience acquisition strategies, owning paid media budget for all digital campaigns.

Identify data analytics trends and emerging platforms that enable the organization to continuously evolve, acquire new consumers, and increase engagement.

Manage email marketing and automation programs that drive database growth, engagement, and conversion.

Evolve the mobile application to add value for consumers and promote engagement with our brand and our partners, including in-venue/gameday experience, ticketing, loyalty, and more.

Improve consumer experience on official website, focusing on mobile-first and search engine optimization best practices.

Develop data analysis to measure and guide business decisions for future treatments.

Develop data visualizations and dashboards that help us quickly tell the story of our marketing efforts.

Proactively generate new ideas, build business cases, and measure results to help our marketing, sales, and branding operations stay best-in-class.

Assist in the identification of important projects, ventures, and partnership opportunities.

Facilitates the execution of strategic initiatives by working collaboratively with other external operations leadership team members to ensure that strategies are communicated and understood by all throughout the department; ensures that strategic actions are completed at various levels to achieve desired results.

Engages external business and industry experts and partners to learn and influence business strategies in order to remain forward thinking about opportunities and risks in the industry.

Contracts: Develops, negotiates, and/or reviews agreements resulting in revenue generation.

Post-Season Coordination: Manages the development and works in conjunction with operations staff to apply the policies pertaining to post-season revenue generation.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a revenue generating position at a University and/or within an athletic department.

Master's degree in Business, Analytics, or related field.
