Job Summary
As the Head of Sales Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the sales processes and operations of the company. Your primary objective will be to drive efficiency and effectiveness within the sales department, ensuring seamless coordination between sales teams, marketing, and other relevant functions. By implementing robust systems, analysing sales data, and providing strategic guidance, you will contribute to the achievement of sales targets and the overall growth of the organisation. The Head of Sales Operations will report into the Managing Director, UK. The Head of Sales Operations will act as a direct manager to Senior SaaS Sales Managers, our Brand Ambassador, Sales Director, and Head of Business Development, and will also oversee performance of Mid-Junior Sales Managers, and Business Development Representatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies, processes, and best practices to enhance overall sales performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the sales leadership team to set and achieve sales targets, quotas, and revenue goals.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels between sales, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Analyse sales data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Provide regular reports, dashboards, and insights on sales performance to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended actions.
- Oversee the implementation and utilisation of sales tools, CRM systems, and other technologies to streamline sales operations and enhance productivity.
- Lead sales forecasting and pipeline management efforts, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to develop sales budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation plans.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the sales team's skills and product knowledge.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities and make strategic recommendations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in sales operations, sales management, or a related field, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Advanced knowledge of sales processes, methodologies, and CRM systems.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and optimise sales operations.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
