Regional Vice President for our Great Lakes region. This leader will be responsible for leading all aspects of sales, operations, and finance for the Region. This leader must possess a track record that demonstrates an ability to provide leadership and vision. The Great Lakes Region is divided into three (3) Districts which are comprised of Western PA, West Virginia, Michigan, and Ohio. Within the Region, there are 36 Branch locations and 450+ employees. In this position, you will have dotted line responsibility/oversight for a functional support team that focuses on Marketing and Sales, Finance, Human Resources, Credit, Inventory Control, Fleet, and Safety as well as overseeing the implementation of operational budgets and forecasts while continuously analyzing the business plan throughout the year. Leading change in pursuit of our financial obligations is paramount while ensuring talent is developed in support of the company’s growth goals.
Location flexible in the Great Lakes geography.

As Regional Vice President, the right individual must display initiative, passion, a strong work ethic, and the ability to lead, plan and manage change while always ensuring efficiency. The right candidate must also possess excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. It will also be vital for this role to be able to function effectively, exert influence and gain consensus at all organizational levels. The right candidate must also have solid organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. They are responsible for participating in the implementation of the company’s vision, mission, and goals.
Scope
- $500M+ revenue plan with anticipated growth
- 450+ employees including functional staff with three direct reports
- 36 branches, divided into three Districts across the Great Lakes
Responsibilities
- Lead safety in all areas of the business
- Consistently achieve revenue and profit goals as accounted for in the Regional P&L
- Drive above market organic growth
- Hire, train, retain and develop the best talent throughout all levels of the organization
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement
- Facilitating effective communications within the organization both at the regional and corporate levels
- Full P&L responsibility
- Providing asset management of capital equipment and inventory
- Work to develop and implement pricing strategy in support of margin goals
- Lead and develop a strategic plan with vendor partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial distribution, sourcing, logistics, marketing, supply chain management, finance, or related area. MBA is preferred
- Minimum of 10 years management experience in capacities of increasing responsibility including sales management, general or branch management and multi-site management
- Strong Executive Acumen with previous P&L accountability / responsibility and the capacity to oversee a complex, geographically diverse operation
- Leadership skills to mentor, and coach to build and develop a workforce that embraces a culture of quality, service, and safety
- Personal integrity and exemplary ethical standards with a strong commitment to achieving a high level of personal and organizational success in business conduct and relations
- Tolerance for and the ability to perform in stressful and ambiguous situations
- Ability to interpret and administer policies and procedures consistently and objectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill.
- Willing to travel at least 50%
