The Sales Operations + Planning Manger at MUD \WTR is a highly cross functional role that will be responsible for building MUD\WTR’s Retail Center of Excellence. The Sales Operations + Planning Manager will be responsible for completing and maintaining sales materials (sell decks, price sheets, etc), implementing distributor, retailer and broker scorecards, as well as delivering retailer forecasts and trade plans. The Sales Operations + Planning Manager is organized, detail oriented, highly analytical, and has experience collaborating with operations teams to deliver accurate forecasts based on retailer and distributor insights.
You Will:
Sales Operations
- Create the MUD\WTR Retail Center of Excellence inclusive of creating and methodically maintaining sell sheets, sales decks, price lists, and account paperwork
- Support MUD\WTR’s Operations team in the development of Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) from Routing Guides for each retailer
- Develop methodology to report to larger MUD\WTR team on the weekly performance of our retail business
- Scan velocities, OOS, and chargebacks
- Historical vs. current performance
- Category vs. current performance
- Forecast vs. current performance
- Actionable insights to drive business improvements
- Serve as liaison between brokers and internal MUD\WTR organization, define and track broker KPIs, and leverage insights to support broker in successful placement of MUD\WTR
- Work with MUD\WTR customers and partners during times of promotion and/or seasoning to ensure sufficient product ordering
Sales Planning
- Develop retail sales forecast models that consider customer forecasts, marketing events, new product launches, and appropriate lead times.
- Use insights to report on deviation of forecasts from actual and articulate the impact to MUD\WTR retail business in the go-forward.
- Make recommendations for trade & promotional activities within budget using channel, retailer, and competitor insights
- Work with Marketing, Operations, and Finance to ensure trade spend is allocated, tracked, and within budget
You Are:
5+ years in CPG, and experience working with brokers, data providers (SPINS, Nielsen, etc), distributors (KeHE, UNFI, etc), and internal marketing & operations functions
An excel wizard - you dream in formulas, pivot tables, and well crafted graphs
Experienced managing budgets
Persuasive and able to influence internally and externally
Highly collaborative, and bonus if you have experience doing this in a remote culture

Base salary for this role is $90 - 120k. Salary is determined through interviews and a review of candidate experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary MUD\WTR offers a comprehensive benefits program as well as equity.
