As the Director of Sales Operations, you will play a critical role in driving the success and efficiency of our client's sales organization. You will be responsible for leading and managing the Sales Operations team and collaborating closely with the sales leadership to optimize processes, improve sales performance, and ensure seamless sales operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive sales growth and improve operational efficiency. Collaborate with the sales leadership team to align goals, create sales strategies, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline sales processes, from lead generation to deal closure. Design, implement, and oversee scalable and efficient sales processes that align with business objectives. Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of sales operations systems, tools, and methodologies.
- Data Analytics and Reporting: Establish a data-driven culture within the sales organization. Provide regular and ad-hoc reports, metrics, and insights to help sales leaders optimize performance. Analyze sales data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Develop sales forecasting models to support demand planning and informed decision-making.
- Sales Enablement: Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, finance, and other teams to develop and execute sales enablement initiatives. Ensure the sales team has the necessary tools, resources, and training to maximize productivity and sales effectiveness. Drive adoption and utilization of CRM and other sales technologies.
- Sales Performance Management: Implement and manage sales performance metrics, including sales quotas, targets, and incentives. Create and administer compensation plans that align with company goals and motivate the sales team. Monitor and analyze individual and team performance, providing coaching and feedback as needed.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop the Sales Operations team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration within the team. Hire, train, and develop top talent, ensuring a high-performing and motivated sales operations team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in sales operations, sales enablement, or relevant roles within a technology company sales environment.
- Demonstrated success in designing and optimizing sales processes to improve operational efficiency and sales productivity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
- Proficient in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales technologies.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable plans.
- Strong communication and influencing skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
