THE ROLE
Our Central Europe sales team has grown to over 200 strong and continues to dominate the HR tech market through seasoned revenue leadership and partnering with the GTM strategy team. Whilst the strategy and the future vision for the business unit continues to evolve we have a fantastic opportunity to fill an operational gap between the two teams.
With a direct reporting line into the GTM Central Europe Strategy lead and having the VP of Central Europe sales as your main stakeholder, this is a rare opportunity to learn best in class Operational structure whilst supporting a high growth sales management team. The workload will vary and require someone who is capable of managing multiple projects at the same time, examples of recent projects would be; coordinating Central Europe sales management QBRs, prep work and coordinating followup activities. This role serves as a great career path to a future career as Chief of Staff or Project Management role by leveraging both operational excellence and a passion for sales.
Success in this role would be giving the Central Europe Sales Management team (specifically our VP of Sales) back more hours in the week to focus on strategy through excellent coordination, management and prioritization of “business as usual" tasks. Success would also be felt when all members of the sales management team were informed of updates when they need to know it and minimize the time they are taken “off the field”. Finally, we need all of these processes and operational rhythm to fit into the wider Global view in order to break down silos and ensure scalability for our major growth years to come.
Here is a taste of what you will be doing
- Shadow the Central Europe VP Sales on all management and team-wide meetings to ensure effective preparation, communication and follow up actions to keep the business running smoothly . Examples include; QBRs, Weekly Forecast meetings, “Ask me Anything” open forums
- Work with the GTM Strategy lead to drive local benefits from Global initiatives, own the operational and administrative execution
- Stay ahead of best practises for sales by networking within the industry, attending webinars and training and maintaining a strong grasp of our sales tech stack
- Be the fountain of knowledge for reporting; whilst we have a dedicated Global team to build and deploy reports, you will need to ensure the Sales Management team know where and how to use them
- Constantly stay informed of Global Strategy and Ops projects going live to leverage best practises for the Central Europe sales team
- Take operational/administrative tasks away from the Central Europe strategy lead and VP of Sales wherever possible
What you need to suceed
- Experience in a high growth SAAS business, ideally within the Sales or Revenue team
- Experience in project coordination; from owning communication plans to tracking execution of agreed activities (be prepared to give examples)
- Organization; ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time and prioritize requests with strong communication out to stakeholders on what’s coming next
- Comfortable with data; be able to prepare or adjust reporting to monitor KPIs and maximise the time spent in meetings discussing challenges or regular business activities such as Forecasting etc (be prepared to give examples)
- Excellent communicator; act on behalf of the VP Sales to organize the Central Europe management team which will require clear and concise communication with an attention to detail. Whilst Personio operates in English, a fluent level of German will be required for this role
- Energy; Sales teams move at 100mph and successful ones like this, even more so. It is vital you have the energy and passion to stay ahead of changes and remain focussed on what will make the biggest impact
- Familiarity with core Sales tech stack leaders such as Salesforce, Gong, Salesloft etc. would be an advantage
- Fluency in German
