About the role.
We're looking to bring on support for deal desk and order operations. This person will have the ability to wear many hats and assist with managing finance, legal, and accounting areas of solo's business! While this role is remote, it will be highly visible across the organization, including leadership, and may involve interaction with customers; will need to support EMEA + APJ time zones in addition to the US, particularly during high volume periods such as end-of-fiscal quarter.
Job Description:
Deal Desk / Order Operations (60%)
- Front line and sole individual contributor responsible for managing Solo's order operations and inquiries from the Sales organization, including, preparing Order Forms, validating and seeking approvals, issuing license keys, booking deals in Salesforce, and other related tasks
- Sheppard the flow of information between organizations, such as Sales, Finance and Legal, as it relates to revenue deals; collaborate closely with Sales Operations and Enablement
- Respond to customer questionnaires, RFPs and eventually lead the development of a streamlined process
- Coordinate the corresponding signature process
- Drive conversations with Sales about deal structure and strategy while balancing the above operational needs of the organization
- Analyze sales data and key processes to recommend and implement ways of enhancing the deal desk function
Finance Operations (40%)
- Participate in implementing, administering and maintenance of finance and legal technology platforms
- Assist with the upkeep of Legal's contract management system, Ironclad, including populating existing contracts with various data fields
- May help with data and calculations around commissions or other related metric projects
- May assist with the procurement process as time permits
- May perform other ad hoc projects and duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in a deal desk, order operations or equivalent role Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, project management or program management or similar degrees a plus, but not required. If no degree, at least five years of experience working in-house at a company
- Experience in-house in a technology company desirable but not required
- Experience with procurement tools and/or contract management systems a plus
- Must have experience with Salesforce, advanced skills are a plus
