What You Will Do
We are looking for an experienced Sales Operations Manager to join our team. The Sales Operations Manager will report to our VP of Sales and play a crucial role in supporting our sales team by providing data-driven insights, managing essential sales tools and technologies, ensuring synchronicity across the different tools in our stack and optimizing our sales processes. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work closely with multiple departments.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Interpret sales data from Salesforce and other CRM systems, creating dashboards and other reports, to provide the executive committee and the sales team with actionable insights, including tracking KPIs, identifying trends, and predicting future sales performance.
- Assist in territory planning to ensure optimal coverage and equitable opportunity.
- Review and optimize sales processes to enhance efficiency, including identifying bottlenecks, reducing administrative burdens, and facilitation the implementation of sales methodologies.
- Optimize the operation of all tools within the existing stack. Oversee the research, vetting and evaluation of new tools for the sales team. And where a new tool is adopted, oversee the implementation and integration within the stack.
- Equip the sales team with tools and resources, including sales collateral, training materials, and sales playbooks.
- Oversee the management and optimization of Salesforce and other sales technologies, ensuring proper configuration, updates, and ease of use for the sales team.
- Assist in creating accurate sales forecasts based on historical data, current pipeline, and market trends.
- Help design and manage sales compensation plans, ensuring accurate calculation and timely payment of commissions and bonuses.
- Monitor the sales pipeline, identifying potential risks or opportunities and working with the sales team to address them.
- Use data to identify high-potential customer segments and target accounts for focused sales efforts.
- Provide training and support to new sales hires on company products, sales processes, and tools.
- Work with marketing to ensure a smooth handoff of leads to the sales team and help define lead scoring criteria and manage lead assignment rules.
- Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, finance, and customer support to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.

Where You Are Located
- This position is fully remote. However, ideal candidates will be located in the San Francisco Bay Area, with the ability to work from our SF headquarters at least once per week.
What Specific Experience You Bring to the Team
- 2-5 years of experience in sales operations, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Salesforce (particularly administration such as setting up dashboards, reports)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Knowledge of sales processes, methodologies, and tools
What Additional Qualifications You Might Have
- Experience with sales tools (Outreach, Chorus, ZoomInfo)
- Familiarity with one or more sales training methodologies (Triangle Selling, Miller Heiman, Sandler, Challenger Sale, etc)
