Phastar are seeking an experienced operations professional, ideally from a CRO background, who will be primarily involved with sales, proposals, pricing and working closely with Phastar's Finance team. The ideal candidate can be from a Finance or Sales background... could this be you?
The Head of Sales Operations is responsible for overseeing and directing the daily functions and strategic initiatives of the sales department. This role ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales team, providing leadership and guidance and driving process improvements and strategies for business growth.
- Leadership & Strategy: Lead, manage, and mentor the sales operations team to support the company’s sales objectives.
- Sales Forecasting:
- Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals within sales operations to ensure the company's financial objectives are met.
- Provide support for the development and execution of a sales incentive compensation plan
- Data Analysis: Analyze sales metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, ensuring data-driven decisions in the sales department.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes and tools to enhance sales productivity, including Salesforce management and optimization.
- Training & Development: Work closely with the sales team to identify training needs and facilitate ongoing professional development.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and product management, to align strategies and optimize sales efforts.
- Technology & Tools: Oversee the deployment and management of sales technology tools, ensuring they align with business needs.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on sales performance, opportunities, and challenges.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Finance, Life Science, Computer Science, or a similar analytical area
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in CRO/pharma environment in a similar role, a minimum of 5 years in a business operations role
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems, preferably Salesforce
- An understanding and background in marketing, sales, business development, and clinical trial principles and processes
- Superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills at all levels
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
