Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) who will play a crucial role in driving our sales efforts and expanding our customer base. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking venture that is poised to disrupt the biotech industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and Identify Leads: Research and identify potential customers, target accounts, and key decision-makers in the healthcare and diagnostic industry.
- Outreach and Engagement: Conduct outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach to initiate conversations with leads, nurturing them through the sales pipeline.
- Qualification: Qualify leads based on predetermined criteria to ensure they meet the necessary criteria for our products and services.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our products, services, and the value they bring to customers. Be able to articulate this value proposition effectively.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to hand off qualified leads and ensure a smooth transition into the sales process.
- Sales Tools and CRM: Utilise sales tools and maintain accurate records in the CRM system to track and report on lead progress and metrics.
- Market Insights: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to adapt and refine sales strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (biology, biotechnology, sales, or related).
- Proven track record in sales development or a similar role, preferably in the biotech or life sciences industry.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong research and prospecting abilities.
- Highly motivated, results-driven, and target-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced startup environment.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools is a plus.
