Job Overview:
As the Head of Sales Operations at Twinkl, you will play a crucial role in optimising our Schools Sales Function, leading the development of our long-term School sales strategy as we grow our global presence.
You’ll lead on growing our go-to-market operations internationally, developing territory and technology. You will be data-obsessed, and develop data sales strategies to ensure the effective and efficient execution of the company's sales goals.
You’ll have domain expertise in sales operations, not afraid to be hands-on working closely with our Head of Schools,, and will enjoy the process of scaling a rapidly growing business.
Key Responsibilities: - Process Optimisation:
- Streamline and enhance sales processes, methodologies, and tools to boost efficiency. Drive the adoption of best practices across the sales organisation
- Investigate and implement appropriate AI solutions to streamline and maximise outreach activities
- Strategy Development
- Collaborate with the executive team to set revenue targets and develop strategies to achieve them. Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats
- Data Management & Analytics:
- Lead on the use of sales data from across the business to drive strategic development and decision-making. Oversee the management and integrity of sales data. Deliver key metrics and insights to facilitate data-driven decisions. Provide forecasting reports, pipeline analysis, and conversion metrics
- Pricing & Contract Management:
- Collaborate with Finance and Product teams to develop and adjust pricing models. Oversee contract processes and negotiations. Identify opportunities for pricing optimisations
- Sales Enablement:
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure the sales team has the necessary tools, resources, and training to perform at their best
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Manage and grow the Sales Operations team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and Product to ensure alignment
- Performance Monitoring:
- Set KPIs for the sales team and monitor performance against targets. Implement corrective action plans where necessary
- Sales Enterprise Systems Management:
- Evaluate and implement sales & marketing technologies, including CRM and marketing Automation, to enhance productivity and improve customer experience. Ensure seamless integration of tools across departments
- Sales Territory Definition and Optimisation:
- Work with sales leaders to identify sales territories that require more sales resources or less focus. Ensure sales territories are balanced and equitable for the salespeople at the same time as maximising revenue potential.
- Sales Compensation Plan Design and Implementation:
- Work with Sales and Finance to design model and implement sales incentive and compensation plans that drive the right behaviour at a cost within budget and are market competitive.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in sales operations or marketing operations, preferably in a SaaS environment
- Proven experience selling to education clients
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and SaaS businesses
- Experience in scaling out sales functions internationally
- Strong analytical, organisational, and leadership skills
- In-depth experience with CRM systems, preferably experience with Zendesk
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
- Familiarity with the SaaS sales cycle and its unique challenges
