Reporting directly to the Associate Director, Supply Chain Planning as the S&OE Manager, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between Sales and Operations to ensure efficient and effective material fulfillment and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the Sales and Operations Execution process, aligning Supply Chain with customer demand, and proactively addressing potential material risks. This position requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, leadership, and operational expertise. As a key member of the existing Supply Chain Planning team, you will also have the responsibility of managing a large team of Supply Planners (up to 16 resources).
What You’ll Be Doing:
THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING.
Leader/ Change Manager:
- Lead the effort to implement and advocate for S&OE: Spearhead the S&OE initiative and champion it across the division by being the main point of contact for S&OE related queries or discussions.
- Support S&OP/IBP: Take the output of S&OE to S&OP/IBP as key issues need to be escalated for decisions. Present the impact of cost, inventory or service identified from demand and supply reconciliation from S&OE in S&OP. Highlight the impact of change made in the production and purchasing plans during the S&OE process. Ensure timely decisions and executions via a closed loop between S&OP and S&OE.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration between sales, operations, and other relevant departments. Address any cross-functional issues promptly to maintain a smooth process flow.
- Ensure that the S&OE process is sustained to the intended level of maturity.
- Lead a team of Material Planners. Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure team success. Responsible for hiring and training all Material Planners.
- Share and reapply best practices with other business units/geographies.
- Continuously seek feedback from stakeholders on the process, meeting effectiveness, metrics, and subsequent activities to identify issues to resolve.
- Measures, analyzes, and reports key process metrics, and monitors adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs).
Process Improver:
- Continuously seek opportunities to streamline and improve S&OE processes. Implement best practices and automation tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Use analytical tools to understand areas for opportunity and change.
- Share and reapply best practices with other business units/geographies.
- Participates in Supplier Review Meetings and discusses contributed service data and forecasts
- Acts as the “hub” for raw material related topics between the plants and the relevant functions
- Acts as first escalation phase for MPs in case of supply interruption and takes lead to escalate shortage to relevant functions and align required steps
Systems Expert:
- Reviews and maintains ASCP Sourcing Data and Order Modifiers (in alignment with the plant schedulers)
- Supervises quality of Material Planning centrally for all plants on ASCP
- Manages material planning attributes in conjunction with purchasing, planning, manufacturing operations, logistics/warehousing and commercial teams
- Gives guidance to Plant Material Planners (MP) on how to plan materials on Oracle ASCP
Critical Skills:

- Technology. Insight into and experience with systems, including ones that are useful for short-term planning processes and ones that facilitate collaboration with external stakeholders.

- Presentation. Create or review presentations for the S&OE team to communicate the process, concepts, data, scenarios, and other critical information to drive teamwork and decision making.

This position is located at our Charlotte, NC satellite office and close to exciting destinations (Myrtle Beach, SC Charleston, SC, Columbia, SC and Hartsville, SC).
We’d Love To Hear From You If:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in S&OE, supply chain management, or operations management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- You are highly analytical, flexible, collaborative, self-motivated, and have strong attention to detail.
- You have Oracle [preferred] or other ERP experience [required]
- You have MRP experience [required]
- Are highly proficient required with all MS Office tools, esp Excel (advanced level)
- Have an ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP) [preferred]
Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this role is from $116,925 to $ 140,310 in addition to bonus annually.
An annual incentive is awarded to eligible employees upon attaining various business and individual goals as defined by the Company and the department leader. This annual incentive is discretionary, and the Company has sole discretion to determine the amount of the award.
