The Team:
Based in Munich and reporting to the Head of Deal Desk DACH, the Deal Desk Manager will be responsible for partnering as a trusted advisor with the sales, legal, and finance teams, as well as with Senior Management throughout the deal process.
The Role:
In this role you will be responsible for facilitating major cloud subscription transactions with our biggest customers on the DACH Market, leading the contracting process and facilitating communication between all the teams involved in order to ensure that deals are in line with Celonis standards.
The work you’ll do:
- Partner in a trusted adviser capacity to Sales Leadership, sales community and other internal stakeholders
- Provide thought leadership to develop innovative deal structures, manage risk within the contractual terms and structure and educate the sales team on our latest product bundles and offerings
- Independently scope and execute project work with minimum oversight to meet goals identified by Management
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to effectively coordinate and manage month and quarter end deal closure
- Review and vet complex deals on behalf of Strategic Business Practices Management
- Work closely with Finance, Legal and Operations department to optimize contract terms and close deals
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound offers with the Account Executives
- Handle day-to-day transactional deal pricing requests
The qualifications you need:
- A University Degree in Business, Law, Economics or similar
- Relevant working experience (1-2 years) in contract negotiation, Cloud/SaaS Business, Sales Operations, Deal Desk or comparable fields is a plus
- A deep understanding of contractual concepts and familiarity with standard legal terms
- A clear business focus, thriving for commercially beneficial outcomes (“deal making attitude”)
- The ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions
- A collaborative style with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely on technical and operational issues
- A detail- and results-oriented approach with the ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment
- The ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly, while keeping others apprised of status with respect to deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
