The Senior Manager of Revenue Operations is a member of the Finance Team and will report to the Controller. The Senior Manager of Revenue Operations will help shape the structure, processes, and culture around billing operations and customer service.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Oversee all order management and operational billing processes, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of customer billing
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Go-to-Market (e.g. Sales and Account Services) and Legal to identify and quantify opportunities to improve the customer experience and the Order-to-Cash process; design and implement scalable processes to address those opportunities
- Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and operating effectively to minimize billing errors and improve efficiency
- Create and publish metrics to capture, control and report Revenue Operations team effectiveness
- Work with internal teams to build collections processes, aging tracking, and dashboards views in new Gainsight CRM program
- Provide audit support for control and substantive testing
- Perform month end and quarter end reconciliation activities as assigned
- Build comprehensive and enticing KPI program for team goals
- Generate and maintain detailed documentation of policies and processes and assist with process improvement/automation initiatives as they arise
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of billing systems, operations, processes and metrics, and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Billing Operations and Collections team
- 6-8+ years of progressive experience in order management, accounts receivable, and billing operations
- 3+ years experience of hiring, leading, and developing teams
- Project management skills, analytical thinker, and effective leader
- Leadership in continuous improvement projects within order management, accounts receivable, and/or billing operations
- High proficiency with contracting systems, payment processors, and ERP systems (e.g. Sage X3 and Hubspot), as well as Microsoft Excel
- Proficient with SQL and experience with ad hoc analysis
- Exemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Highly organized, customer-focused, strong attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field, with an understanding of revenue recognition rules
- Expected to lead multiple aspects of billing operations in an unprecedented, dynamic organization
