The
Account Manager is a highly visible and impactful role that will report to the Director of Retail and is responsible for managing the revenue, profitability, programs, and product placement of all retail and distribution partners in the Americas. This is a full time, hybrid position based out of our Walnut Creek, CA location.
In this role, you will:
Account Management
- Serve as dedicated resource for assigned accounts/customers
- Effective and strategic placement for all games with appropriate physical and online retailers
- Develop trade/retail marketing and promotional strategies with each account
- Drive sell-through by managing account inventory, markdowns, and special pricing
- Be the expert on the business and processes of owned accounts
- Reporting: provide timely and relevant sales reports and/or presentations to Director of Account Management including but not limited to weekly forecasting updates, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports, weekly 15Five check ins
- Maintaining accurate account documentation including promotional planning tracking, trade spend, product assortment, programs planning, pricing per each Tier 1 Retail partner
- Maintain and manage ongoing schedules for in-person and online/video line reviews and business review meetings with retail partners
Sales and Presentations
- Present and pitch new games to retailers in regular line reviews and to customers at industry events
- Manage each new release achieving the sales target for each title and each account
- Provide weekly updates and action items for outside sales representatives to communicate new games and pricing information
- Track and analyze market trends and create and implement selling strategies for each customer
Ideally, you have:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in related field
- Retail, CPG or video game industry experience (required)
- Ability to think strategically and implement creative solutions
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment managing competing priorities
- Tableau or PowerBI experience preferred (or equivalent)
- Occasional Domestic and International travel required
