Beauty brand looking for a
Senior Manager/Manager, Sales & Trade Marketing to join our dynamic, fast-paced team. This is a full-time position that reports to the Executive Director, Sales Operations.
As the Senior Manager/Manager, Sales & Trade Marketing, you will be responsible driving brand sales and strategy across multiple key accounts such as Sephora US, Kohl’s, Canada, Mexico and other international distributors, while building best-in-class partnerships to help deliver on sales goals. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented self-starter who demonstrates strong strategic, interpersonal and organizational skills to support major premium specialty retailers and independent accounts. This person should be comfortable working within the competitive, ever-changing landscapes of beauty and retail.
This position is located in our Midtown East offices in New York City. We are currently working in a hybrid office model of 2 days in the office and 3 days at home.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, negotiate and execute strategic marketing programs including catalogs, client loyalty programs, sampling, towers, endcaps, promotional assets, GWPs and exclusives
- Lead the team in managing day-to-day relationships with key retailers
- Build out annual budgets including sales, marketing, and sampling for all accounts
- Manage account P&L to ensure company profitability targets are met
- Partner with Education and Field team members to execute educational programs, in-store events and trainings
- Build strong and effective relationships with internal cross-functional teams supporting inventory planning, education, creative, product development, and operations
- Work with Supply Chain, Regulatory and Operations to ensure full execution of new launches and other programs
- Collaborate with Marketing and Creative to ensure that 360-degree support programs are in place across all departments (social, e-commerce, education, etc.)
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related experience in sales, account management or merchandising; beauty brand or similar preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills with internal and external partners
- Competitive knowledge of the beauty and skin care industry landscape
- High standards for yourself and your team; extremely detail-oriented
- Ability to see the big picture (as well as the details) while tracking many moving parts
- Excellent at problem-solving and reacting quickly in a flexible, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in retail math and Microsoft Excel required (knowledge of Apprise is a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree (Business, Finance, Marketing or equivalent)
- Ability to work on-site at our headquarters; we are currently working in a hybrid office model of 2 days in the office and 3 days at home
