Cooks Venture is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to help us build our B2B retail and food service business. This position will oversee revenue development for the central region of the US and will require frequent travel. This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer.
Regional Sales Manager Responsibilities:
● Generating leads, initiating contact, developing sales pipeline and closing sales for all existing and new customer accounts in own territory
● Managing all regional sales efforts, including sales planning and forecasting, budgeting, account management and new business development
● Creating annual regional strategy plan in accordance with companywide and departmental budgetary goals
● Regular customer visits, sales calls and biannual business reviews
● Planning of, attendance at and execution of customer and partner trade shows
● Managing broker network(s) for customers and region, including broker activity oversight, customer interaction and terms management
● Competitive analysis and monitoring of customer and market trends and competitive intelligence
● Assistance in all customer-related cross-functional company needs, including but not limited to: customer service information flow, sales and operations planning, logistics and order fulfillment, Accounts Receivable collections and payment terms
● Travel up to 75%
Regional Sales Manager Requirements:
● Four year degree in Business, Marketing or 5-8 years’ experience related to poultry processing industry
● Strong understanding of poultry market and industry trends
● Professional appearance and demeanor
● Effective communication and presentation skills
● Ability to multitask, project manage multiple workstreams at once and manage schedule and responsibilities with minimal oversight
● Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, CRM Software (Salesforce), and ERP systems (NetSuite)
● Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
