What You Will Do

The Chief Revenue Officer for the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) segment is responsible for leading the global AEC sales teams at Trimble. This business generates ~$1B in annual recurring revenue, with tremendous upward growth potential. As the segment CRO, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing revenue generation strategies, driving business growth, and maximizing profitability. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a proven track record in revenue management and a deep understanding of the technology industry.

  • Develop Revenue Generation Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive revenue generation strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives, ensuring consistent revenue growth and profitability.
  • Sales Leadership: Lead the sales team, setting clear goals and objectives, and providing guidance, coaching, and support to drive performance. Establish sales territories, compensation plans, and targets to motivate and incentivize the sales team.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and alliances to expand the company's market reach and revenue streams. Foster relationships with key clients, strategic partners, and industry influencers to drive growth.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop effective marketing campaigns, product positioning strategies, and demand generation initiatives to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
  • Revenue Forecasting and Reporting: Develop and maintain accurate revenue forecasting models, providing regular reports and analysis to the executive team. Identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities to guide decision-making.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve the sales process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Implement and leverage CRM and sales enablement tools to drive productivity and visibility across the sales organization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including product management, finance, operations, and customer success, to align strategies and drive coordinated efforts towards revenue goals.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify new revenue opportunities and anticipate market shifts.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing revenue team (including global sales, sales operations and customer success), fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to nurture talent and promote career growth.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven track record of at least 15 years in revenue management, business development, or sales leadership roles, preferably within the SAAS industry.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable revenue growth plans.
  • Excellent leadership and people management abilities, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
  • In-depth understanding of sales and marketing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving revenue targets and driving business growth.
  • Experience in developing and implementing go-to-market strategies for new products or solutions.
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales enablement tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and revenue forecasting models.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
