Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role located in Edmonton, AB. The CFO will oversee the financial strategy and operations of Mikisew Group, including budgeting, financial planning, reporting, and oversight of accounting functions. Key responsibilities include analyzing financial data to inform strategic decision-making, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, providing leadership for cost-optimization initiatives, and preparing detailed financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders. The CFO will collaborate closely with senior leadership while ensuring financial growth and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Financial Planning and Financial Reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Proficiency in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting Financial Statements.
- In-depth knowledge in Finance combined with excellent Analytical Skills to evaluate financial performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, oversee accounting processes, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- CPA desigination is required. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field considered an asset.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Experience within the resource development or industrial services sector is a strong advantage.
