Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a rare opportunity to join a successful privately owned property group in a broad, high-impact executive leadership role.
Operating as a key strategic partner to the Managing Director, this role requires a hands-on CFO who remains deeply involved in the day-to-day financial operations of the business while also contributing to broader strategic and commercial decision-making.
This role will suit a commercially minded and operational CFO who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys contributing beyond traditional finance responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the Managing Director on strategic, commercial and operational decision-making
- Lead group budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management across a complex multi-entity environment
- Oversee project financial performance including WIP reporting, profitability analysis and financial controls across multiple concurrent projects
- Manage banking relationships, funding arrangements and external stakeholder engagement
- Lead financial governance, compliance and reporting across the business
- Drive process improvement initiatives while contributing to broader operational leadership and ongoing business growth across the group
- Lead and mentor the finance team while fostering a positive, inclusive and high-performance culture
Skills and Experience Required:
- CA/CPA qualified with 10+ years' experience in senior financial leadership, preferably with property development and construction exposure.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to operate across both strategy and operations
- Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of building high-performing teams
- Experience with project financial management, cashflow and multi-entity environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with executive presence
- Hands-on leadership style suited to a privately owned entrepreneurial business environment
