Our client is a market-leading healthcare provider with a substantial multi-site presence across Scotland. Recognised for innovation, exceptional outcomes and operational excellence, the business is entering an exciting next phase of growth - and is looking for an outstanding CFO to help shape it.
The Role:
Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Executive Board, this is a broad and genuinely influential position. You'll combine financial stewardship with commercial leadership, digital transformation and strategic growth - acting as a trusted partner to the CEO and a key voice at Board level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of financial management: reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, audit and compliance.
- Drive a digital transformation agenda leveraging AI, automation and SaaS solutions.
- Build data-driven reporting and analytical capability that delivers real commercial insight.
- Own banking and funding relationships.
- Evaluate and execute M&A opportunities, including due diligence and integration.
- Ensure robust governance, risk management and regulatory compliance in a highly regulated environment.
- Partner with operational leaders to improve performance and support strategic decisions.
About You:
- You'll be an accomplished CFO or Finance Director with a strong track record in an SME environment - typically £20m–£100m revenue, ideally within a growth, transformation, or entrepreneurial setting. Healthcare or regulated sector experience is a plus, not a prerequisite.
You'll bring:
- End-to-end finance leadership experience as the senior or standalone head of function.
- Commercial sharpness - the ability to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions and drive growth.
- Strong technology and data literacy, including hands-on experience with AI and automation, must have knowledge of using AI to design and implement complex systems.
- M&A exposure and the ability to manage banking and funding relationships.
- Board-level presence, credibility and communication skills.
- A hands-on, pragmatic style suited to a fast-moving, entrepreneurial business.
