Location Considerations: This is a remote position available to candidates residing in Atlanta/Georgia, Lehi/Utah, or Indianapolis/Indiana

General Summary

The Head of Revenue Operations & Strategy is a senior leadership role responsible for building and managing the infrastructure, processes and tools needed to support continued revenue growth and operational efficiency through process mapping & automation, visibility, reporting, and analysis.

This role requires a deep understanding of sales, marketing, customer success, partnerships and business operations, as well as a strategic mindset to develop and implement revenue-focused strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Revenue Strategy:
    • Develop and communicate a clear revenue growth strategy aligned with the organization's business goals.
    • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to shape revenue strategies.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to set revenue targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Sales and Marketing Alignment:
    • Foster collaboration and alignment between Sales, Marketing & Customer Success to maximize lead generation and conversion.
    • Oversee the development of sales and marketing strategies to optimize customer acquisition and retention.
  • Pricing and Monetization:
    • Analyze pricing strategies and identify opportunities to optimize pricing models.
    • Work on pricing and packaging strategies to maximize revenue while considering customer value.
  • Enablement:
    • Responsible for our direct sales and channel partner enablement programs (onboarding schedules, training assets, role plays, etc.)
  • Sales & Marketing Operations:
    • Lead the operations team in optimizing Go-To-Market processes, tools, and technologies.
    • Define and monitor metrics, pipeline management, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Revenue Performance Metrics:
    • Establish and track key revenue performance metrics and targets.
    • Develop reports and dashboards to monitor progress and communicate results to leadership.
  • Customer Insights:
    • Gather and analyze customer feedback, preferences, and behaviors to refine revenue strategies.
    • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to increase customer lifetime value.
  • Data Analysis and Insights:
    • Utilize data analytics to make informed decisions regarding revenue growth and customer behavior.
    • Apply data-driven insights to refine pricing, product offerings, and customer segmentation.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Build and lead a high-performing revenue operations and strategy team.
    • Provide mentorship, guidance, professional development and support to team members.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
    • Monitor costs and seek cost-saving opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in revenue operations, strategy creation/execution, and leadership roles.
  • Extensive experience in revenue operations, strategy creation/execution, and leadership roles.
  • Experience with a start-up and/or Private Equity backed & SaaS
  • Proven experience in sales and marketing strategy development.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with sales and marketing automation tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • A track record of success leading a business operation; an approach to management that brings out the best in staff and yields pride, ownership, and a sense of team effort
  • Possess a supportive and accessible management style, the ability to lead and motivate a diverse staff and encourage change and growth in both people and programs, and a strong commitment to personal and professional development.
  • Experience with SalesForce, Outreach.io, Dialpad, Domo, & Slack; preferred.
