Position Description

Ryerson has an opportunity for a Sales Operations Specialist. As a Sales Operations Specialist you are responsible creating, modifying and managing SAP orders.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Quickly building strong relationships with internal Ryerson employees and external vendors
• Follow-up on warm leads in a timely manner, providing a quotes and resolutions
• Creating and modifying orders within SAP
• Keeps internal employees informed about order tracking and lead times throughout the entire sales process
• Uses critical thinking to solve problems to efficiently provide a delivered product to the customer within an allotted amount of time
• Keeps detailed records of tracking of material
• Utilize all software platforms quickly, accurately and effectively
• All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
  
  

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Prior sales or industry experience is preferred.
• Prior mix of administration, purchasing, or logistics experience within the industry
• Customer-centric mentality
• Excellent professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment
• Positive attitude, goal-oriented, and driven by excellent customer experiences.
• Flexible and solutions-oriented

Salary: $55,000-$60,000 annually starting salary higher than $55,000 is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale
