The Role

As a leading player in the market, we're seeking a talented and dynamic Director of Revenue Operations to join our team and lead our revenue strategy to new heights. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), the Director of Revenue Operations will play a pivotal role in shaping Ottimate's revenue strategy and ensuring operational excellence across the organization. This strategic leadership position will involve orchestrating coordination across sales, marketing, and customer success, driving efficiency, effectiveness, and revenue growth. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a passion for driving results, fostering collaboration, and implementing innovative solutions.

What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive revenue operations strategies aligned with Ottimate's overarching goals and objectives, driving alignment and cohesion across all revenue-generating functions.
  • Collaborate closely with the CRO and other senior leaders to translate business and revenue strategies into actionable plans, identifying key growth opportunities and driving execution.
  • Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to the revenue operations team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the management, implementation and optimization of Ottimate's Sales and Marketing tech stack, ensuring it effectively supports sales processes, provides actionable insights, and drives revenue growth.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline processes and enhance the overall customer experience, coordinating systems, people, and processes across sales, marketing, and customer success teams.
  • Monitor key revenue metrics and drive process improvements to enhance sales and marketing effectiveness, customer retention, and overall revenue performance.

Business Planning and Analysis:

  • Orchestrate reporting and insights to measure effectiveness, growth, and productivity across the revenue motion, providing actionable recommendations to the CRO and other senior leaders.
  • Streamline business planning processes in alignment with revenue strategies, working closely with finance and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Provide in-depth analysis and insights on revenue performance, trends, opportunities, and risks to support strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership, product, marketing, sales, and customer engagement teams to secure an aligned go-to-market strategy and drive effective implementation of operational elements.
  • Oversee the governance and development of an integrated, robust, and efficient demand generation, opportunity management, and customer lifecycle process to maximize conversion and growth potential.
  • Challenge legacy policies and procedures that complicate the customer lifecycle process. Formulate creative solutions based on data analysis, developing rules of engagement and service-level agreements.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build a high-performing revenue operations team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure alignment with company objectives and goals.
  • Manage, coach, and develop team members to enhance their careers and drive success, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture within the team.

Sales Enablement and Process Management:

  • Assist in the effective management of territory assignments, optimizing sales coverage, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Lead and manage sales enablement initiatives, providing teams with the tools, training, and resources necessary to drive success.
  • Analyze and optimize the deal process, ensuring compliance, improving contract hygiene and ensuring control processes

Data Strategy and Performance Metrics:

  • Develop a data strategy that unifies, manages, and governs contact and account data leveraged by product, marketing, sales, and customer engagement teams.
  • Work with operations leaders to develop a unified view of revenue engine performance through aligned cadence management, targets, and integrated metrics.

Technology and Systems:

  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize technology solutions to support revenue operations, including Salesforce CRM, 6Sense, Outreach, and other revenue intelligence platforms.
  • Drive adoption and proficiency in technology tools among sales, marketing, and customer success teams to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
  • Launch, audit, and manage new systems and tools to ensure alignment with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification is a plus.
  • 7-10 years of experience in sales, marketing, or revenue operations, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated experience managing and developing high-performing teams and driving cross-functional collaboration and alignment.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and other revenue intelligence platforms such as GONG, 6Sense, Outreach, with the ability to leverage technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Certifications are a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the ability to translate insights into actionable revenue-enhancing strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time to support revenue team initiatives and engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
