About The Job

Rubrik is looking for a curious, action-oriented Deal Manager for the Deal Strategy and Operations Team who lives the Rubrik Magic to support our sales team, orchestrate cross functional interactions, and facilitate non-standard exceptions and Order Forms (OF). This role will work to appropriately structure the deal to be a ‘Win-Win’ for both the customers and Rubrik! You will be passionate, dedicated and have the ability to understand complex problems while providing explanations and solutions which are sound, compliant and clearly communicated.

Responsibilities

  • Seven plus years experience in Deal Management, Sales Operations, Sales, Finance, or Business Operations with focus on deal construction, procurement strategy and negotiations
  • Collaborate with and establish solid trusted working relationships with team members, Product Management, Commercial Legal, Billing Operations, Order Management, Finance, and Sales Executives with ability to influence policy, process and tooling automation requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability as a trusted advisor, managing complex contracts, subject matter expertise with standard terms of service, deep understanding of pricing, commercial terms and ability to negotiate. Work to arrive at an offer with reasonably acceptable terms to both Rubrik and our customer.
  • Enforce the corporate approval framework and associated policies. Handle escalations from junior team members for policy exceptions and/or bespoke terms.
  • Ensure forward deal momentum as well as troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve issues with deal velocity especially during month and quarter end
  • Begin building customer-facing experience partnering with Legal and Sales teams in addressing customer questions and concerns, and directly negotiating contractuals terms and structure
  • Deepen subject matter expertise around our Product and Platform framework + business value in order to guide Sales through win-win scenarios to build bigger better deals.
  • A digilent, detail oriented skill set, able to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple responsibilities at one time, while remaining extremely organized
  • Provide dedicated and excellent customer service
  • Comprehensive experience in Salesforce and Apttus CLM, MS-Office and / or G-Suite experience

  • Educate and train members of Sales on contracting processes and policies to ensure smooth and timely turnaround of contract requests
  • Tackle complex sales cycles providing white glove service from start to the finishing line through the internal Rubrik deal approval process finding and eliminating the gaps to ensure business compliant order form creation and booking.
  • Contribute to new and update existing contract processes and training materials for the Sales and GTM Operations Teams
  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s Degree plus six years deal strategy experience, or 8 years of deal strategy experience.

Location:

This role will be based in Bangalore, India working in a hybrid environment. Approximately 10% travel is anticipated.
