About The Opportunity
The Deal Desk Analyst will work cross-functionally with Revenue Operations, Contracts, Finance and Legal teams to provide quoting and deal structuring support to the Global Revenue Team. This Analyst will support the deal process by working with internal teams on opportunity packaging and pricing; providing account management and deal strategy support; and communicating to both internal and external customers. Successful candidates in this role will have issue identification and resolution experience and have an extremely high bar for customer service. We seek a person who thrives on being organized and highly adaptive, has a high emotional IQ, and is extremely detail oriented in our fast paced and fluid environment.
Where you will make an impact
- Serve as the main point of contact for day to day deal support requests from the revenue organization.
- Create and edit sales quotes with custom pricing and complex terms.
- Work with the Revenue team, Management, Legal and Finance to ensure negotiated deals are documented properly and in alignment with Ellucian’s policies.
- Create quotes, schedules and amendments that reflect product upgrades, maintenance renewals, and add-ons which may include cumulative discounting structures - you will become the subject matter expert on the nuances of Strategic/Enterprise level customer accounts.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of Ellucian’s pricing models.
What You Will Bring
- You’ve worked with transactions of varying degrees of complexity using a CRM or ERP system.
- A minimum of 1 years experience in an analytical role within one or more of the disciplines of Sales, Revenue, Marketing, or Finance
- Ability to analyze & recommend the best course of action for complex pricing & licensing situations.
- Knowledge of Cloud and SaaS Software and Solutions is highly recommended.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and prior experience with modeling and analysis.
- Experience creating customer/prospect proposals.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proactive, creative, and results oriented individual.
- Experience in data analysis, modeling, or financial analysis to support revenue growth.
- Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful.
- Service Minded - delivering customer and partner support like you expect to receive it; with excellence.
- Flexible - Experience working varied hours to accommodate volume fluctuations caused by sales cycles, seasonality, and emergencies.
