Job Title: Chief Revenue Officer

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Job Summary:

Create new business opportunities and expand the existing sales pipeline; responsible for preliminary business opportunity assessments, intelligence gathering and analysis of new business opportunities; represent the company in the business community, cultivating relationships to attract business opportunities to the organization and foster strategic partnerships

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead analysis across markets and portfolio to determine potential growth opportunities
Perform analysis of market positioning and operations of new business opportunity targets
Coordinate and interact with internal executives and Board members to negotiate a variety of transactions and structures
Maintain relationships between the organization and existing businesses
Develop new sources of business through direct dialogue with industry leaders
Assist in managing internal CRM (process oversight, data entry when necessary) and help produce reporting for firm and deal team review
Prepare reports and analyses as necessary
Bottom-line responsibility for department operations
Establish and maintain productive working relationships with people inside and outside the organization including regulatory and governing staff and corporate staff
Responsible for all commercial activities of the organization
Develop marketing strategy, plans and execution

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage Sales and Service Representative employees
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws; responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring and training, onboarding, mentoring, staffing/workplace planning, assigning and directing work, scheduling, evaluating performance, recognizing and rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving problems

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree; Master of Business Administration preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Knowledge of CRM systems and development of summary reports and dashboards
Strategic thinker with ability to analyze complex data and trends
Ability to use computers and computer software programs and systems and standard office equipment such as phones, photocopiers and fax machines
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Good written and verbal communication skills to convey and receive information effectively (face-to-face, telephone and electronic)
Good analytical and judgment skills
Detail-oriented
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding personnel and/or financial data
Excellent organizational skills to work independently, prioritize, handle multiple tasks, manage time and plan, coordinate and expedite work projects
Leadership skills including comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching, teaching and counseling, ability to inspire and build confidence in others and forge alliances and garner support

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in a laboratory environment.

While performing work-related duties the employee the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Work Schedule:

The position is full time requiring varying shifts Monday through Saturday to cover business operations
Work week hours will vary between 40 and 60 hours both in the office and at home and during weekends and holidays
Significant weekly overnight travel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $220,000.00 - $240,000.00 per year
