Business Development Associate, Maritime Software (Go-to-Market)

Company: Naavra | Location: Gurgaon, India (global, mostly remote outreach)
Experience: 1 to 3 years | Type: Full-time

About Naavra
Shipping moves 80% of world trade and is a USD 600 billion industry, yet it still runs on email, spreadsheets and WhatsApp. Naavra, a Singapore-headquartered maritime tech company, is changing that. Our platform lets ship owners, crew and shore teams run vessels together, even from a phone and offline mid-ocean, with AI colleagues that handle the paperwork while a person approves. It is already live at sea, and we are now hiring our first go-to-market team.
You will work directly with our founder, Capt. Alok Kumar, a ship owner and fleet operator who built Naavra.

The role
You will be the first voice a ship owner hears from Naavra, and the person who finds the next ones. You will have real ownership from day one and a path to grow into sales, customer or product roles.

What you will do

Handle inbound enquiries: first calls, qualify leads, book demos, own the calendar
Reach out to 15 to 20 small ship managers and owners monthly, and report what messaging lands
Keep the CRM clean and follow-ups on time
Help run demos, webinars and event follow-ups
Learn shipping fast and grow with the company

You are a great fit if you

Have 1 to 3 years in sales, BD or customer success (B2B software, shipping, logistics; maritime graduates welcome)
Write and speak clear, confident English across time zones
Are organized, quick and unafraid of a cold call
Are curious about shipping and AI

What we offer

Direct work with the founder from day one
One of the first people on the commercial team of a funded startup
A fast learning curve in a global industry about to change
