Role Description

This is a full-time Director of Sales Operations role at Arietta.ai based in San Ramon, CA or London, UK, with flexibility for some remote work, reporting directly to Arietta's Chief Customer Officer. The Director of Sales Operations is responsible for spearheading the strategies and tactics necessary for effective sales pipeline management. This role involves close collaboration with Arietta executive leadership to track, progress, and convert leads into opportunities, and ultimately into revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Pipeline Management:

Develop and implement robust pipeline management processes to track and nurture leads through the sales funnel.
Utilize CRM tools to provide real-time insights into pipeline status, lead conversion rates, and sales cycle lengths.
Coordinate and drive consistent and effective follow-up on leads and opportunities.

Sales and Marketing Content and Schedule Management:

Incorporate sales methodologies, channel, reach, and frequency best practices into deadlines and action plans, and drive timely follow up by Lead and Opportunity owners internally.
Manage content creation strategy and schedule for sales decks, sales and marketing email templates, brochures, position/white papers, press releases, webinars.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Analyze sales data to identify trends, forecast sales, and pinpoint areas for process improvement.
Generate regular reports on sales metrics for internal stakeholders, providing actionable insights to drive sales strategy.
Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership, shaping the direction of sales and marketing efforts.

Sales Process Optimization:

Evaluate and refine sales processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring they align with industry best practices.
Implement training and development programs for sales staff to ensure adherence to sales operations procedures.
Identify and deploy sales technology solutions to streamline operations and support the sales team’s activities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with the Executive leadership to align sales and marketing strategies and tactics, optimizing commercial activities across the company.
Liaise with Customer Success and Product teams to ensure a seamless customer journey and feedback loop new business onboarding and overall product improvement.
Collaborate with Finance to align sales operations with broader business objectives and staffing requirements.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in sales operations, business development, or a related commercial role working with clinical, brand, or regulatory departments within the pharmaceutical industry
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, coupled with a persistent and optimistic approach to achieving both short-term and long-term goals.
Demonstrated resourcefulness in problem-solving and strategy development, with an ability to navigate through ambiguity and adapt to changing business needs.
Leadership experience with the capacity to inspire, motivate, and guide a team through a positive and resilient mindset irrespective of reporting relationships.
Proven experience in sales operations, preferably in a SaaS environment, with a demonstrated track record of driving growth and overcoming challenges.
Strong analytical skills with an ability to translate complex data into actionable plans.
Proficient in Salesforce CRM, and other sales and marketing automation tools.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
Experience with new business development in clinical, brand or regulatory departments of the pharmaceutical industry
