Job Summary

This position is the primary point of contact for all aspects of the sales incentive compensation program. Develops, maintains, manages and continuously improves the systems, personnel, and processes associated with the contracting, on-boarding, appointments, payment, and reporting of compensation for internal and external agents and brokers. This position ensures timely and accurate compliance with federal and state regulations as well as updates data to reflect compliance requirements.

Manages all internal and external incentive compensation expenditures that flow through a corporately centralized ICM application. This position monitors and responds to unfavorable expense trends, making sales and marketing leadership aware so that a response may be developed. Solicits, catalogs, maintains, and files physical and electronic records (contracts, E&O Certifications, background checks, copies of licensure, etc.) of both internal and external agents and agencies from initial contracting and product appointment activation through termination. This function is critical for market conduct examinations conducted by state insurance departments.

Requirements

EDUCATION

In Lieu Of Degree, Five (5) Years’ Experience In Any Combination Of The Following Areas Will Be Considered

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Management, Accounting, Finance, Operations/Sales Operations, Marketing, Statistics, Data Analytics, or other related degree.

Commission Payments or Systems,
Statistical and Financial Analysis
Project Management
Vendor Management
Risk Management

Masters degree desirable

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION

Professional or industry related certifications (CCP) desirable.

Health Insurance Academy Association (HIAA) or Academy for Healthcare Management (AHM) certification desirable.

Experience

Minimum five (5) years’ experience in one or a combination of the following:

Commission Payments or Systems
Statistical and Financial Analysis
Project Management
Vendor Management
Risk Management

Minimum two (2) years’ leadership experience (role, project management, team lead, etc.)

Essential Skills And Abilities

Industry knowledge and understanding of the development and implementation of effective compensation schedules and bonus initiatives for internal and external agents and brokers.

Experience with ICM (Callidus/SAP) and CRM systems (Salesforce)

Demonstrated project management skills

Strong analytical skills to effectively analyze data and create meaningful, understandable models, reports, metrics, and charts.

Advanced use of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to do complex formulas, pivot tables and power pivot reports.

Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications (Access, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Teams).

Effective relationship building skills that support strategic long-term goals and objectives

Effective interpersonal skills that translate well across a wide variety of functional areas within the company.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with audiences across various internal organizations with varying technical backgrounds or abilities and with external vendors, customers and/or auditors.

Occasional travel outside campus may be required.

Collaborates with management and executive leadership to ensure timely and accurate compliance with regulations and audits from state insurance regulators., Collaborates with other divisions in the coordination of activities involving obtaining data from other enterprise information systems that will be used processing, administration, and reporting of incentive payments., Identifies opportunities to automate and streamline processes to enhance business performance and outcomes. , Manages the development of dynamic and analytical reporting for both internal and external business partners., Manages the hiring, coaching, training, employee development and performance management of team members., Other duties as assigned or requested, Oversees modification and additions to ICM Vendor Management program through collaboration with external technical consultants., Provides administrative oversight of activities related to the processing and payment of commissions and other sales incentive payments., Provides administrative oversight of activities related to the systematic contracting, on-boarding, and compliance of all agents and brokers across all lines of business., Serves as a key strategic resource to sales leadership in the development of compensation policy for both internal and external agents and brokers., Serves as the business expert with regard to the incentive compensation management (ICM) platform.
