About The Role

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced VP of Sales to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth for our cloud consulting services. The VP of Sales will play a key role in building and executing lead generation strategies, leveraging AWS Market Development Funds (MDF), and defining outbound campaign processes. This individual will collaborate closely with key stakeholders at AWS to ensure alignment on messaging and coach Account Executives (AEs) on executing successful campaigns. Additionally, the VP of Sales will take ownership of Sales Operations (SalesOps), including Salesforce management and process optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales team management, preferably within an AWS consulting partner environment, and a proven track record of driving sales success through effective lead generation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement outbound lead generation strategies to identify and engage potential clients
Define target markets, segments, and personas to tailor outreach efforts for maximum impact
Utilize AWS Market Development Funds (MDF) effectively to enhance lead generation efforts
Be instrumental to designing and executing outbound campaigns, including defining tools, processes, and messaging across various channels. Collaborating with leadership and marketing to ensure alignment on campaign objectives and messaging
Coach AEs on campaign execution, providing guidance on best practices and optimizing outreach strategies
Continuously evaluate and refine Salesforce design and manageSalesOps administrator for implementation
With support from SalesOps administrator, define a comprehensive SalesOps handbook to standardize procedures and ensure high productivity of AEs
Lead and mentor a team of Account Executives, providing guidance and support to drive individual and team success
Ability to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the sales team while setting clear performance expectations and providing ongoing feedback
Work closely with cross-functional teams – including marketing, solution architecture, and delivery – to ensure alignment on lead generation initiatives and sales strategies
Collaborate with senior leadership to provide insights and recommendations for sales growth and optimization

About The Candidate

You are a seasoned sales leader with a passion for driving growth and leading high-performing teams. You have direct, practical experience in delivering solutions to globally known clients, maintaining communication channels to ensure excellence, innovation, and achievement of project goals.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

5-10+ years of experience in sales management roles, with a track record of building and managing successful sales teams
3+ years of experience in AWS sales and/or partnerships
5+ years experience building a lead generation campaign for a rapidly growing organization
Intimate knowledge of AWS’s sales organization structure, go-to-market focus, and the AWS Partner Network
SalesOps experience and familiarity with sales enablement tools and processes
Proven expertise in developing and executing lead generation strategies, including outbound campaigns and leveraging AWS MDF
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving ambitious sales targets
Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a focus on continuous improvement
Experience with supply chain and foodservice industries preferred
